When are you some of you childish boys going to grow up and act like adult men. This first, second, third, etc. is so childish. Are you still wearing diapers too? Maybe you are still sucking on a pacifer too…I would not be surprised. Better yet, why don’t you go over to the Ga. Tech board and quit embarrassing the real UGA fans.

Looks like Durham is getting back to Dawg football. That year off might have done him some good. 3 TDs is great but let’s remember that this is only a scrimmage and no matter how good it may look now, it’s game time that really matters. Our defense is still giving up big plays for some reason. I know they haven’t totally gotten the new scheme yet, but I would like to see some progression. Each QB had over 100 passing yards so that means there was a total of over 300 yards passing which is not a good sign. Thomas was running great today as well. GO DAWGS!!!!

Love the defense continuing to force turnovers, another 2 interceptions today, that 1 stat could be the game changer for 2010.

Thomas ran well, almost 6 yards a carry. Impressive.

AJ did good, Durham did great, and Troup did great.

The offense is going to be UNSTOPPABLE.

If you look at passing effieciency, because of his 2 td’s and completion rate, ZACK METT won the 2nd scrimmage IN A ROW!

Murray also had 3 rushes for 36 yards.

I’d rank Murray’s scrimmage today as #2 overall.

word is Coach Richt will NAME THE DEPTH CHART AT QB 1-2 weeks after the Spring game.Richt’s plan is to review EVERY SINGLE PRACTICE, break down the video by QB, then grade EVERY PLAY. Then total and rank. So the scrimmages don’t matter as much as in the past. It’s mainly about how you play every day, and Murray is excelling.

murray’s stats were primarily wiht the 2nd team o-line, and gray’s stats were pretty much with the 1st team.

68% with the 2nd team o-line that Gray went 41% with, WOW!

No TD’s for AM today but 68% and a buck 59. I want to see him eliminate the pick’s and then I think he’s ready.

Gray needed to be better today, and he was.

Mett is proving to be consistent in his play and getting more and more comfortable running the offense. His mobility is a major concern though. Just a little too Cox-like.

Good to see Thomas getting get some quality snaps.

Overall I think the offense is shaping up nicely. Defense is starting to gel, too.

Looking forward to G-day.
Overall the offemse is shaping up

Paul there’s room for enthusiams, but “unstoppable” is a tad unrealistic to say the least. Srimages are meaningless. Everyone of these QB’s, given the opportunity during the regular season are going to have issues and make mistales. We have some talent at QB, but everything has to come together and we must maintain helath during the season to have a shot at the East title. Florida is going to be very tough, in spite of all their personnel losses and coaching changes.

I think we’ll be better than ‘09, but “unstoppable”… not likely!!!

James Carpenter, Chance Warmack, Darius Mckeller. Byron Isom, Ed Christian, Maurice Hurt, Jujuan James, Ray Dominguez, Sergio Render. Now if you just move Kiante Tripp and Justin Anderson to defense.Brilliant! Thanks Coach Richt From all of us at Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Tennessee,Arkansas, and Va. Tech. Quit spending so much time at your Lake House and get some serious offensive lineman in here.

The offense will be unstoppable. With this WR corp, Ealey & King, our TE’s, and the veteran O-Line, and Elite 11 QB leading the way, we will put up an average of 35 and lead the SEC East in scoring, no doubt. Arkansas, Auburn, and Georgia are the 3 best offenses in the SEC.

Byte-
Agree that “unstoppable” is a bit presumptuous, but we have a lot of offensive weapons to work with.

If our QB can manage the whole process for 2-3 games, at least until his comfort level gets kicked up a notch, I think we will become very dangerous offensively.

The offense’s ability to keep us in the game until the defense gels is crucial.

Can’t wait to see what happens when it all comes together.

I like it–Durham is ol’ reliable & Cox definitely could’ve used his sure hands last year. I expect KD to have a great Senior campaign. Good to see Troupe making some cathes as well, we’re awfully thin at WR so we need all of em’ not named AJ Green to step up & makes plays this year.

Wish we knew how the INTs occured. Sure hope it was Boykin & Cuff stepping up and making plays on the ball rather than misreads or just off-target throws by Mett & Murray. Can’t wait to see em’ scrimmage w/my own eyes NEXT Sat.!

the int’s are a good sign for the defense, but not for the O. The interceptions against A&M were the most ive seen in a while. Aaron murray is lookin good! What’s up with AJ not getting any td’s? good job kris though.

Aaaron Murray wasn’t in the taxi. Aaron Murray didn’t drink with his buddies in valdosta.

Aaron will start. He gives us a run/throw threat for the 1st time since DJ.

richt said after the 7th practice, the defense has caught up to the offense, and 1 day, the defense wins, 1 day, the offense wins. today, the offense won, but the defense won tuesday. the defense is playing like normal according to richt, which means our new guys have been great at a quick install. which makes the offensive numbers even MORE impressive.

the defense forced:
2 interceptions
2 fumbles
had a goal line stand where they stopped the offense on 3rd and 1, then 4th and 1

richt’s using sec crews to throw penalties, and uga only had 4 penalties today, 1 on offense, 3 on defense.

the 1st team o-line dominated today.

UGA will either finish 14-0 or 8-5, not going to be anything else.

gators offense poor again in scrimmage

April 3rd, 2010
3:54 pm

the gators offense had ANOTHER poor scrimmage. Brantley threw 1 td and was sacked 4 times, the guy has limited mobility.

the back up out-shined Brantley AGAIN, throwing for 2 td’s.

florida also had 2 interceptions, and 3 fumbles, as their ball protection issues continue to plague the offense.

As far as a second Spring practice scrimmage goes, offense scoring indicates good O line work, Defense numbers indicate to me that D line and LBs got after it pretty strong today. Even though it appears alot of points were scored, and having not seen the scrimmage, looks like to me the defense is coming along, right on schedule ! When you install the 3-4, there will be a few hick-ups in the Spring, however, by September, with the talent coach Todd Grantham has to work with, these dudes should be ready to drill the hell out of any opponent we will come up against ! I’m pumped, looks like my DOGS are too……………..GO DOGS !!! GATA !!!!!

OEJ,

Thanks for the details on the INTs. Nice to have a “REAL” DAWG fan provide some valuable insight on this blog rather than the childish dribble that is sure to fill the comments section of this blog here on a Monday morning.

Thanks again OEJ–WOOF!

DO we know how the defensive stats broke down. Basically what were the offense’s production against the #1 defense?
