ATHENS – Bacarri Rambo is ready to call a truce in his much-publicized war of words with Da’Rick Rogers.
“I’m going to try to be the better man,” Rambo said this afternoon, “and just let that die down and not say anything to him.”
UGA safety Rambo and Tennessee signee Rogers went at it on Facebook and Twitter earlier this month after Rogers, the heavily recruited wide receiver, reneged on his verbal commitment to Georgia and signed with the Vols. The exchange started with a Facebook update by Rambo, who wrote that it “is messed up how all of UGA high school commitments back out on us but I’m telling you now that when I catch you on the field I’m going to knock fire from you.” Rogers responded on Twitter: “Who is Bacarri Rambo?” Then Rambo returned the volley, and back and forth it went.
Rambo said today he didn’t intend the exchange to get personal.
“I mean, I wasn’t really directly talking to him,” Rambo said. “It was just something I was saying, like, I was shocked that you would say you were going to one school and then you change your mind at the last time and go to another school.
“It wasn’t directed to him. As a matter of fact, it was directed to no one. I was confused and curious why they do stuff like that. If he wanted to think it was him, well, I can’t stop him from thinking that. So it’s whatever.”
Rambo said most of his Twitter posts are uncontroversial: “I tweet everyday to tell people that follow me what I’m doing, like ‘I’m going to class,’ ‘I’m working out,’ ‘I’m about to go to sleep.’”
Back to football: Rambo spoke excitedly about his off-season work and Georgia’s new defensive backs coach, Scott Lakatos.
“I take notes on everything he says, know[ing] it’ll help me out in the long run,” Rambo said. “It’s a whole lot different, especially with the footwork Coach Lakatos is teaching us. Most of the people in the NFL run the same thing Coach Lakatos is teaching us. . . . I’ll imagine myself making more plays this year.”

Rambo don’t back down on knocking the fire out of this dude as well as everyone else you play and pass that on to the rest of your team mates. Didn’t see much fire knocked out of anyone last year

I take it you do not like me linking to a “Rivals” image. At least let me know so I can play by the rules.

What is this? A history lesson? Lots of comments about the past. Let’s talk about NOW. Moe, Larry, and Curly are gone (aka, Martinez, Jancek, and Fabris.) There is a new sheriff in town and his posse will get it done! Joe Cox (aka, Joe Average) is also gone. Translation, look for much better play from the QB position which will enable the offense to sustain drives and keep the chains moving. Realistically, in 2010, with a 6-2 SEC record, we could win the SEC East. Especially when you look at the difficulty of Florida’s schedule. Florida has a rough road in 2010! Pay no attention to the discussions of USC possibly winning the East, that won’t happen! After we beat them on 9/11/10, they will act as a spoiler for other teams and clear the way for Georgia. Not sure how far we go after that. Guaranteed, the 2010 Dogs will be a better football team, go to a much better bowl, and finish high in the rankings.

I WAS going to do my usual Dawg training, but BuLLdawg speaks truth, and the truth must be acknowledged. You see, we Vols have trod the same path you Dawgs are now strolling. And it will end, and end badly for you.

Hey Vol Nation…way to stay classy and poke fun at an injury to a player. I guess they breed them differently in Tennessee.

Oh, get off the high horse.
Like you’ve never seen a friend get conked in the nads, and after you check to make sure he’s actually OK, laugh at him?
Same deal here. Said player starts battle of words with our guy, conveniently forgetting he himself got laid out in a game.
It’s the old ‘glass house’ thing.

You got to love the name Bacarri Rambo. It has the sound of a warrior. And when Mr. Rambo is unleashed he sics them. Glad you are a memeber of the Dawg faithful Bacarri.

Rambo did the right thing. Do you’re talking on the field. Da (as in Duh!) Rick made his choice, let’s hope we make him and his be-atch, Nance, regret it every time we play them. I am surprised Dooley took part in that type of recruiting as soon as he got to K-ville. It is certain to fuel our desire to crush them in Athens in October. He may rue the day he signed those two.

It won’t be easy, but I think D. Dooley will try to bring some class to UT, stop the recruiting tactic of “turning out” coeds, and shut down the Knox-Vegas Bunny Ranch.

Don’t worry everyone… Da’Moron probably won’t get into school this year, anyway… rumor was that he would have had to JUCO if he stayed with his Georgia commitment, anyway. Besides, Da’Idiot just likes running his mouth… ask anybody at the TWO schools he got kicked out of before he went to Calhoun High. And we all know he didn’t really change his mind on his own… Da’SugarDaddy, a.k.a. Mr. Nance, made sure that his son Nancy went to Tennessee in a package deal with Da’Mouth-of-the-South.
Will be fun to watch Da’BenchWarmer come in for a play or two in 2011 and have Georgia’s much-improved defense rip Da’Head from Da’Body.
GO DAWGS!!!!!
