Evans: Dogs will stay with traditional uniforms

Athens — If there was any doubt after the black-helmeted debacle against Florida, it seems official now that there’ll be no more uniform gimmickry from the Georgia Bulldogs anytime soon.

Georgia athletics director Damon Evans, appearing on UGA’s weekly radio call-in show Monday night, gave a pretty strong thumbs-down to future variations on the Bulldogs’ traditional uniforms.

“I don’t believe playing the game is about uniforms,” Evans said. “I just want our team to go out on the field and play the best of their ability. We have had some uniform changes in the past, but I would tell you not to look for that anytime soon. I’m not going to ever say never, but that’s not something that we’re going to be focused on.”

The Bulldogs veered from tradition by wearing black jerseys in a big 2007 home win over Auburn and a big 2008 home loss to Alabama and by wearing black pants and black helmets in this year’s big loss to Florida in Jacksonville.

“I know there are times when you try to use uniforms to maybe change the mood of the team and so forth, and that’s been done . . . [with] the blackouts we’ve had in the past,” Evans said. “But . . . I like our traditional uniforms –- the silver britches, the red jerseys, the white jerseys and the red helmets -– and that’s what we need to stick with at the University of Georgia. . . .

“I want people to be able to recognize us. . . .  And I had a lot of comments after the Florida game that people didn’t recognize who we were.  . . .  I want people to know we’re Georgia.”

——————–

Evans again expressed confidence that coach Mark Richt will guide the Georgia football program through the storm that currently engulfs it.

Appearing on the second hour of the weekly call-in show –- Richt fills the first hour –- Evans  expressed the same sentiments about Richt as he did in an interview with the AJC earlier this month.

“Mark Richt is our football coach, and I’m glad that Mark Richt is our football coach,” Evans said Monday night. “I have confidence in Mark Richt to get the job done and do the things he’s done over the past years to keep us competing for championships. And I know that what Mark will do are the things he thinks are appropriate for the program.”

Later, Evans added: “I’m glad that our fans . . . know we have a good football coach, a coach that has been through the thick and thin, and somebody who has led us to great heights with SEC championships, BCS bowl appearances. Any program faces adversity, and when you face adversity, it’s what you learn from it and how you come out of it. And I have confidence that Coach Richt will come through this.”

A caller asked Evans if he gets involved in head coaches’ decisions about their assistants. Evans said that across all sports he evaluates the head coaches and trusts them to evaluate their assistants.

“I think head coaches need to have the responsibility to deal with their coaching staff,” Evans said. “If there are times in which I need to get involved, I will do so and voice my opinion.”

I expect that changes will be made which is why Evans can be so confident about Richt’s leadership. Let’s hope so. Regarding the uniforms, I could not agree more. The black jerseys are cool – once every three years. It was just overplayed. Scoring more points than our opponents should be our focus, not fashion.

Go Jackets,

Your hope that Rambo and Green are healthy enough to play against your beloved Jackets is the dumbest thing I’ve heard in awhile. Georgia will beat the crap out of Tech with or without Rambo and Green.

Actually, I think the black helmets are a mistake for a team that is used to seeing their own players in red helmets. You only get a moment to evaluate a pass pattern, and all of a sudden looking for different colored helmets has to be confusing to any quarterback.

Wearing black pants on the hottest day of the year was stupid in Jacksonville.

The ONLY way we beat tech is to outscore them & for that to happen we have to RUN the ball & when we pass our recievers need to be 10 yards wide open or cox will throw it to the defense! cox can not face adversity if he is pressured he throws a pick if theres no one wide open he thorws a pick I’m sorry he has made some good plays this year but its the absolutely horrible ones I dont understand He is a 5th YEAR senior been in the system over 5 years now NO excuses for most of his mistakes this year! A lot of people complained about Matthew Stafford but its obvious why he started bet all those people wish he was still here!(best qb UGA ever had) Even with suspect play calling on offense that needs to change the problem is COX, poor execution(including penalties), turnovers, consistancy, & DEFENSE For the head coach to have success his DC & OC need to have success! So if CMR wants to be a successful head coach again(which he is a fine head coach) & wants to keep his job he HAS to find a OC & DC that can coach the players up scheme better & make better ajustments & get the best out of all the talent we put on the field! Plan & Simple

Damon Evans thank you for saying that we are Red and White jerseys, Silver Britches and Red helmets! That is UGA, I think we have earned respect by being one of the top 11 winningest football teams of all time! I have to say this though, I know you are the AD Damon but Mark Richt was coaching major college football when you were playing at Georgia, and the year you interned with the SEC he coached Charlie Ward to a National Title and a Heisman Trophy! Go Dawgs! Just saying people Mark Richt is one hell of a person and a damn fine coach! The University of Georgia would be crazy as hell to let him go.

We will never beat UF again as long as Richt is our coach. Urban M. has more football smarts in his pinky than richt has in his tiny brain. He was a mistake for a hire and has shown it with his 2-7 record against our biggest rival. I am ashamed to be a dawg when I hear our fans defending a man who is 2-7 Vs. UF. Did I mention he is 2-7 vs. UF?

Can we PLEASE stop talking about uniforms and address the more important matters at hand! As I told my wife Sunday morning, things just appear to have gotten stale at UGA. Seems to me, it is just indicative of the times. We are a need-now/instant gratification type of society. We used to allow our coaches 20-30 years (Dooley) with the occasional bad seasons, but no longer. CMR has done a nice job, but I believe he has plateaud? My issue is this, if Martinez or Fabris are retained next year I will not step foot back on my beloved campus in support and spend money. It pains me to say that, but they MUST be dismissed Mr. Evans!

The problem at UGA is coaches and players not being afraid of losing their jobs. The program is stale. The penalties, turnovers and discipline have now caught up to the program and they can’t just rely on talent to win anymore. The level of competition in the SEC is to good. The early teams under Richt were hungrier than what has been on the field the last two years. That goes for coaches and players. Hopefully Richt knows how to fix it?

Georgia Football is Lifeless

November 24th, 2009
6:56 am

Georgia Football has lost something. Lost something valuable and precious. Georgia football has become lifeless, passionless, common. CMR has allowed mediocrity to slip in and the football program has taken a plunge downward. Sure the coordinators and assistants are very weak (but they are great friends of CMR), sure the luster has been lost. One of the joys of my life has been UGA football. I feel robbed by CMR’s decision not to replace unperforming personnel. I believe he must take immediate and decisive actions after the season is over. Four staff members need to be replaced … Martinez, Bobo, Fabris and Janeck. I look for only one to go (Willie) and that under duress from Evans.
Willie may just be demoted to DB coach so he can stay with CMR and continue the friendship. Georgia did not get my $5,000 this season cause I’m tired of poor performance and meaningless victories over poor teams. Georgia football isn’t dead but it’s sure in a poor state of health. I love CMR and want him to stay at Georgia but his leadership, passion, emotions and coaching ability is now coming under question. He has led Georgia well but can he lead Georgia in the future? If he don’t make major changes the damages next year will show up in tv exposure, recruiting, and image. He MUST MAKE MAJOR CHANGES AND DO IT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE SEASON IS OVER. Bye Willie, glad you’re gone. You’ve done tremendous damage to UGA football.

If Marc Richt does not fire Willie Matenez and Fabris, expect him to be fired within the next two years. I just cant see the defense improving with Willie Martenez and aside from the punter and field goal kicker, the special teams suck and really the stregnth and conditioning coach should be questioned as well. Our players are in the worse condition in the SEC. Most of that is on the players to condition better but they need a better program.

it will be a HUGE mistake if Mark doesn’t make some changes after the season…………He’s rolling the dice that all this will go away next year…..if you study this roster and follow Georgia football, next year will not be a cake walk, new coach’s or not. Trust me, a new DC would do wonders for the mental state of this program, real or imagined. coach Richt has a bunker mentality about his coach’s and their families. That’s fine. But he needs to understand the part those 90,000 “customers” play in the big picture. I hope he doesn’t think like a Democrat that that money comes from the state and there’s plenty of it and that’s not a problem. There is something wrong in Athens, and it starts at the top. It does in a business, a church, a family etc. i hope andpray the guy can fix it……..or has the stomach to.

Those Dawg fans who have actually watched the games this year should realize that Cox can make the big throws as well as anyone. His particular problem is throwing the “touch” type passes such as screens and dumps, and he has a problem when he’s pressured in that he can’t make the right decision on eating the ball or throwing it away. He has thrown some deep routes where our guy is the only one who has a shot at catching the ball which is the way it should be. He should not be held up as the reason we have under-performed this season – there are many things that play into that and not enough room to write my opinion here.

Evans on the talk show last night stated we don’t have a special teams coordinator. I wonder how many people missed that. There’s enough money in UGA’s athletic program to hire a special teams coordinator. I would hope there’s no way that Martinez stays after this season and even though that is my expectation, I’m not so sure it’ll happen. It seems like everytime we’ve turned over the ball it has led to touchdowns by the opposition. How about our defense hold them to a field goal every once in a while.

It’s not that Georgia gets beat, it’s that the games are so sloppy whether we win or lose. Even the wins are painful to watch. I don’t remember Dooley, Goff and Donnan teams being this undisciplined. Okay, Goff maybe.

Evans has not been helping them with the scheduling. He clearly is playing to the polls instead of helping the team learn and win.

Cox is not the problem, just like Stafford was not the problem. Sure, they make some bad decisions–guess what, it’s college football! That happens. Instead there has been across the board breakdown throughout the team. Either we don’t have the right players for the scheme or we don’t have coaches that can teach the scheme or we have a bad scheme–or all the above.

So if Georgia isn’t going to change uniforms for this game (I was hoping for black helmets, red jerseys, black pants, red socks, and black shoes), does that mean they will be dancing in the end zone if they score? Uniforms and dancing seem to be the only ways Richt has of motivating his team.

Mike

I guess the traditional uniforms can’t be blamed when losing to Kentucky. only alternate uniforms are to blame when we lose in them. Pathetic. Nothing wrong with a quick change every now and then for the fans. We are red and black. Maybe not the black helmets too often, but the black jerseys should be here to stay. The jerseys didn’t get spanked by Alabama. Willie Martinez defense did.

What DE said is right on! His job is to steer the athletics programs at UGA on a macro scale, not a micro scale. That includes (but is not limited to) evaluating each of the head coaches of the various teams. Management 101 students know that both responsibility AND authority must be delegated in order for efficient and effective management to function. Richt is responsible for his assistant coaches performance and for evaluating them. How effectively he manages that aspect of his job is one of the criteria on which his evaluation is based. Whatever you think of the team’s performance this year, it would be a mistake to assume that Richt is stupid. He knows the numbers betters than we do. I’m sure he’s also looking at some numbers that we’re not, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. Nobody needs to tell him that the defensive play has been unacceptable, or that the offensive inconsistency must be corrected. I believe that he will make some difficult choices this offseason. To not do so would obviously greatly impact DE’s evaluation of Richt.

I agree with DE. I’m happy that Richt is UGA’s head coach and I hope he is for a long time. That said, from a management perspective, you give people enough room to do their job and enough rope to hang themselves.

Georgia has the talent to beat anyone, the frustration is the application. Florida won a national championship last year with a fullback at quaterback. On the goal line fumble vs Kentucky, we could put Chappas in shotgun with a full house backfield and stuffed the ball into the endzone with the T-BOW. No one in the country has stopped it, why aren’t we doing it. Our defensive players thrive in aggression not in read and react. I wish we would go a whole game cuttin em loose instead of getting the lead like in the Kentucky game and then playing soft and getting beat in the second half. Lastly, too much thinking bout special teams, stop with the directional, pop up and squib kicks, kick down the middle as far as you can and send the guys that love the contact down to cover em. We would be scary good if we would accept that we are a physical not a mental football team.

That means score from the red zone, not blow a 14 point lead and not commit repeated, stupid plays that result in penalties (over and over, etc). Texas…Good call. Bobo doesn’t believe in any thinking “outside the box” which translates into an offense that becomes predictable. Martinez believes in letting the play come to him, not getting after the ball. When he does decide (or someone decides for him) to get after it, we see what we are capable of and the score usually reflects it. Then, very quickly, WM reverts back to his safe mode. Not good football in my opinion, and definately not good football in the SEC. I think changes will be made, but I’m not positive they will as significant as they should be. I like CMR and for now, he has my full faith to get the program headed back in the right direction. I think losing him would be a mistake for UGA, and I don’t care to see the carousel of coaches at our university….like ND, we see how well that’s working.

Get a grip man. The program is going to be alright in the long run with CMR leading it. If he chooses to make changes then I will support him. If he chooses not to then I will support him as well because he has forgotten more about the game than you and I and everyone else on this blog combined.

I’ve been a Georgia fan since 68. Been through the ups, survived the downs. No doubt about it, this is down Georgia needs a new dog and to open up a can of “bad, agressive attitude” this weekend. Let’s go to Poppa John’s in December knowing that whoever accepts the bid from the Big East has to deal with extra cheese in all aspects of the game. Don’t matter if we are 6 and 6 or 7 an 5. Cause I’d love to see B. Evans hit’em two yards inbounds and knock’em two yards outta bounds and still get the penalty cause it would be worth the fifteen.

You people are making it seem harder than it is. UGA has an offensive coordinator and a defensive coordinator. All they need to turn things around is a fashion coordinator, someone who can make the players look good, really good. Dress them in the right colors with color-coordinated acessories, a bit of make-up, and some eye-liner, and they’ll do just fine.

Why is Richt still there? Does Damon Evans not want to ever win the SEC again?

I agree with a lot of what Evans says here.. but I’ll add that if uniform modification is something they like, I really don’t mind giving them a reward for having them say, beating Florida. If they beat Florida, they get to wear them at a home game or they get to wear them in a bowl game for making the BCS or something… I like that idea a lot better than the ‘fake juice’.

Appalachain Dawg-Texas Dawg
Your assesment of Willie is correct. Saturday night UGA’s defense really got after Kentucky in the 1st half and then in the 2nd played that sit back and let Kentucky come to them defense. Seems like in the Auburn game the week before was the only game all year where our defense really got after it the whole game.
I personally think CMR keeps Willie Martinez on his staff, don’t think he’s got the heart to let him go.
Evans remarks on monday stating that we don’t have a dedicated special teams coach is troubling.
Why don’t we. Most teams have one, Urban Meyer is the Special teams coach at FLA. and to get on the Starting lineup for offense or defense you first have to prove that you can play special teams. And play them well. During his tenure at Utah and Bowling Green, and UF, his special teams are responsible for blocking over 50 kicks and punts, not too bad for a special teams coach who doubles as a headcoach.
The uniforms issue, don’t change the out come of a game, i’ve been at all the games where these uniforn color schemes were used and it made a difference in the crowd for maybe the first few minutes before the game but after the kickoff i didn’t see they made any difference. The first blackout against Auburn was kinda fun b/cause all the fans participated.
Don’t think Evans will be a factor in whether coaching changes are made or not but, I don’t think it was a coincidence that Tommy Tubberville was the guest speaker at The Athens Touchdown Club a few weeks ago.

Teams with better schemes, better preparation, and better discipline will beat teams with better athletes- it happens every Saturday across the country.
Georgia’s recruiting classes out rank Oregon’s every year by a mile but anyone who doubts that Oregon would crush Georgia by at least 30 points is simply wearing SEC blinders. Richt has a lot of work ahead of him this off season.

Don’t know if anyone else has addressed this, but beyond CMR’s lame excuse for the black helmets and pants is the simple fact that these uniform variations have to cost a fair amount of money.

How can that ever be considered appropriate at a time when people are losing their jobs and government institutions are cutting back on services? It was an astonishing lack of sensitivity and common sense.

In short, yet another failure to lay at the feet of Coach Richt in a season remarkable for its litany of failures.

One point on the coaching stuff-CMR is not a fiery guy, and I don’t think that he would ever be comfortable in that role, so, that is why he needs a guy like Muschamp as his next D-coordinator. If the head coach can’t provide that fire, he needs his d-coordinator to do it (as BVG used to for us). I’ve been a Ga Bulldog since birth. Born, raised, in Athens, three degrees from UGA. I am ashamed of the sandlot play I see on the field week after week. The undisciplined penalties (the FACEMASK penalty after Chappas had gained the first down on the blocked punt that could have breathed some life back into that horrible second half against KY) just to cite one example. I miss the Junk Yard dogs of the Russell era. I miss the pride of the Dogs even when we were losing. I wear my UGA stuff proudly in Bengal Bayou country win or lose (ESPECIALLY THIS PAST WEEK WITH UGA VII’s passing)so I’m not a fair weather friend. I’ve been saying for three years Willie has to go. Now, I’m on the CMR has to go bandwagon (won’t even mention Les Miles in this rant).

I have confidence Richt will turn things around. He understands the expectations are high, and he has stated that is appropriate. UGA fans should expect great things from their team, and this year isn’t it. He also should be the person to make the decisions regarding his assistants. Its his team, his staff, and his call. He has never shirked that responsibility.

That said, Richt isn’t the fiery type personality like Johnson (at Tech). He is true to his nature, as is Johnson. Both are leaders, and both care deeply about their players and being successful. They just handle themselves differently.

I know lots of people want Richt to ‘get in someone’s face’ and display some emotion. Personally, I have never been able to work for a yeller. Publicly embarrass me and you might find yourself flat on your back. Show me some loyalty and support, and I will run through brick walls. Richt (and Johnson) treat their players with respect yet hold them accountable. The fact that Richt does it in private is fitting with his personality.

Despite his record against Florida, Mark Richt has generally done a great job here. This season stinks. Everyone knows it. It’s also apparent that we had a couple of overrated recruiting classes that lacked the depth of talent and football acumen to live up to expectations. I’m starting to believe those who say that recruiting service rankings are mainly driven by the number of subscriptions sold. According to some national publications, Notre Dame never really has a bad recruiting class. The on-field results tell another tale.

The fact is that I don’t care whether a player is a three-star recruit or a five-star blue-chipper. I just want the model player UGA signs to be able to play the game of football in an instinctively smart fashion. Coaches should be able to polish the rough edges and mask most flaws, but if the fundamental character of a player is sub-par, then his performance will reflect it.

Hairy Dog is right, the recruiting services are over rated. OK has a bad year and they have big time recruiting classes. USC always has one of the top few classes and they haven’t beaten anyone this year better than the third grade all stars. No one calls for him to leave. Ladies and Gentlemen,
Please, let’s use a little common sense. I am a Richt fan, but having said that, Bobo and Martinez and their outdated, weak schemes are a clear reflection of the fact that Coach Richt and his philosophies do not and will not compete with Florida, Alabama, etc. The sad thing, is that we can’t even compete with Tennessee in one of the most obvious rebuilding times in their recent history. Why? Innovative schemes and ideas on offense and defense. Penalties and turnovers are clear indicators of a lack of discipline in the program from the top down. No accountability, poor schemes, etc. Look at Cinncinati, Oregon, Stanford, Boise State and best of all TCU. Is it better athletes? Get real. I know it’s not the SEC, but look at the turnaround at Alabama…it’s coaching. Have the courage to admit it. Mark Richt is a great person, but it’s time to move on unless we want to settle for mediocrity.

Furthermore, Damon Evans does not strike me as the kind of athletic director that will force his will upon a personality like Richt. So far as major staff changes go, some of you may be a bit optimistic. At any rate, psychologically prepare yourselves for a big letdown once this season has ended. Changes will come, but it may be a long, difficult road.

The college sports web site Rivals is reporting Richt told his players at practice today that Sat will be his last game at Ga and that Willie Martinez will be the head coach next season. Good move?

Those saying they want Stafford back. He still sucks just less than Joe Cox and he is not the best QB we’ve ever had he isn’t in that conversation he isn’t as good as Shockley. Greene and Tarkenton are clearly superior and their are others as well stop it with the blind Stafford love. Just because Joe Cox sucks is no reason to believe Stafford doesn’t

I liked the change up in uniforms. This is some BS. I wouldn’t mind seeing us wear black every year in Jacksonville. I loved the uniforms this year, we can wear those when we’re the away team and the red helmets, black jerseys, and silver britches when we’re the home team. I can tell he’s married, wants to see the same stuff all the time.

With tebow and spikes gone from uf, they will be way down the next few years. Ga has the best young returning talent in the SEC and should win the SEC east easily next year and will upset Bama for the SEC title—mark it down!!! Richt gets the Dawg train rolling again! Dawgs in 2010!!!!!

I sure hope someone is checking on you on a daily basis. The Dawg Nation is concerned with your apparent fixation on nothing but last years game between UGA and GT which as you know Tech won. What worries us is are you really stable as that is all you ever blog about. Please take care and if you are not in treatment please try to think about getting some professional help. Good luck and may God Bless.

A down year is a down year. If UGA has several down years in a row then that should be a concern. I know what UGA football was before CMR and it wasn’t pretty. The recruits keep coming so UGA will ge fine. Real world is that parity is college football. Things run in cycles. Remember when Oklahoma was to never lose another game and Stoops could do no wrong? UGA will be fine, but it may take a couple of more years to get back, but UGA will be back. Agree that UF does appear to own the Dawgs and UGA seems to always be inferior when the two teams play, whether they are or not. Good luck to UGA on Saturday.

Could Competancy Drive Richt?

November 25th, 2009

Evans has good points.

The management team is the #1 manadatory organizational ingredient. Richt has to feel confident he has the right guys at those positions or else make changes. 80 wins in 8 seasons reflects good judgment and earns a guy a level of trust.

You can’t make a good decision that you won’t regret unless you know your key #1 value. Once you’re clear what you stand for, your moral code, your #1 value or attribute, then you make decisions based on that key value you stand for. It: unifies your life, overcomes uncertainty, grants peace of mind, and centralizes power and resources.

I think for Richt his #1 value might be “competancy” based on what I see in his personality and behaviors. I think nothing pumps him up more than seeing competancy, or drives him crazier than incompetance.

Matthew Stafford, must still be upset about that beating you guys got last year. I’m looking forward to seeing how much worse GA Tech will wreck GA this year …

[...] In an AJC article, Damon Evans came out in support of Coach Richt.  Most of the time, when coaches are feeling the heat, the AD does not come out with public praise.  See Charlie Wiess and Notre Dame.  Usually phrases like “we will evaluate the direction of the program at the end of the season” will be made by the AD if a coach is feeling the heat. 2010 is looking good. Having a tough win/loss season happens to the best coaches in the SEC (Meyer & Miles both had 4 loss seasons).

Richt has a way of following up a tough season with a big season—every single time.

2001 8 wins, 4 losses
2002 13-1 SEC Champs

2006 9 wins, 4 losses
2007 11 wins, 2 losses

2009 6-8 wins, 5-7 losses
2010? 11-2 win or 13-1 win season coming….

as a born and bread dawg fan. i’m glad somebody is finally putting a stop to this uniform nonsence.
evens, should have stoped this before it started. i also belive even’s is going to force coaching change’s on the football staff. and if that mean’s having to let cmr. go also i belive he will do that.seen or read somewhere that cmr. only wanted to make 10 year’s, and then go on mission’s for
his church which is o.k. so i do not belive he will put up to much of a fight about the coaching staff
change’s that a.d. evens will demand he make to his staff. next year is cmr.’s 10TH YEAR.

It’s fine if Damon wants to hear himself talk a little. But the bottom line is this….if CMR wants to wear GREEN like Oregon…he can. Richt is running the program, as he should be. Evans is big hat…no cattle. He has the title, not the authority. Michael Adams and the athletic board can tell Evans to go eat a spam sandwich.

Answer me this….who runs Alabama? Who runs the gators? If the ADs of those schools want a sure ticket out of town, just have them run afoul with the head football coach, and they’re gone. Same for Evans, though he’s a nice enough guy.

Black is the half our primary colors that have always been underplayed. If we change the number color on the white jersey to red, we just increase the imbalance. The black numbers help to balance the color scheme of the road uniform. The black jersey with the red helmet is the right balance for our home uniform to show that our colors are red and black. I love the red traditional jersey and always will, but I feel that the black jersey deserves its place in the locker room and in Sanford Stadium with the red helmet and REAL SILVER BRITCHES!!!

UGA Athletic Director
Damon Evans,

Coach Butts – gave us the Silver Britches. They have their place!
Coach Dooley – gave us the Red Helmet, It is perfect
just the way it is; don’t change it in any way. It is “OUR IDENTITY”!

Coach Richt – gave us the Black Jersey. Our colors are Red and Black
IT BELONGS TO US; Don’t be AFRAID to use it!
Herschel Walker – solidified the Red Britches into our heritage vs.
Tennessee in 1980. They are forever tied to that National Title season.
THEY ARE OURS TOO!

Every one of the above uniform items have earned
its place in UGA football tradition. TRADITION SHOULD
NOT STAGNATE…IT SHOULD GROW, Naturally, as it has!

[...] Richt didn’t like his scheduling policies and Evans didn’t care for Richt’s gimmicky uniforms or underachieving in 2009. And according to multiple reports, Richt was not in attendance [...]
