Guys, I like Coach Fox, but our B'ball team will stink this year. Not enough horses in the 1-3 spots, especially, 2 and3. We could cause some teams some trouble down low with Thompkins, Barnes, Price and Jackson, but just not enough everywhere else. Give Coach Fox until '10-11 - if Thompkins stays, we could be NCAA dangerous (if only Daniel Miller would have stayed, sigh...).

I forgot to say Good Luck to Coach Fox and Coach Landers and the basketball teams. I will be there supporting you. I'm just sick all the coach bashing on the football team.

I have responded on here one time before. But I have sat back and now I am tired of all the coach bashing going on. Most people on here have never worn a jock strap or buckled a chin strap and they think they are the greatest authorities on football. They wouldn't know a zone blitz or an arc block if it bit them on the ass. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes in these programs that people don't have a clue about. I sat back and watched games yesterday and I counted eight times that players did alot more than A.J. did and I didn't see a flag. There is such a fine line sometimes between winning and losing. Georgia doesn't lose to L.S.U. and you don't know what might have happened at Tennessee. I've said it before that I don't believe Georgia isn't as talented as some people say. They are young in some areas and so are other teams, but other teams have upper classmen that have come through when they needed them. In the Florida game I saw athletes make plays and it wasn't necessarily coaching. There are alot of intangibles out there. All I ask is that we are in this shape in two years or we don't improve in rating talent and improve on the field in two years, I might see where you question coaching. Most of these bashers are just band wagon jumpers anyway. The true fans are going to support the team no matter who the players and coaches are. Go Dawgs!!

The problem with the uga basketball program since Tubby Smith left the program have been poor fundamental skills such as passing, ball handling, post play, blocking out, foot work, pivoting, and so on. If Mark Fox can teach our kids how to master these key critical fundamentals they will be able to compete against anyone. I'm looking forward to this season.

I thought Fox was going to be an awful coach and have three seasons here and get fired, but in that press conference he was actually likeable. I'm a huge basketball fan myself, and I love the way that he has presented a likeable image. He has this football tailgating show on Georgiadogs.com and is a personable guy. I hope he is the coach to bring them out of the cellar. That program needs it.

Hello, the article is about UGA basketball. Stop complaining. Get over all the crap. When you lose 2 first round picks, they are hard to replace. I am very excited about UGA's future in football and basketball. It sounds like we have a great basketball coach too. He has my full support. If you need to complain and find problems, support another team. In terms of fans of other teams posting, that is funny to me. Pathetic people needing attention. Very bright future in basketball, football, and baseball. Go DAWGS....

Florida and Tennessee are "football schools" with top-notch basketball programs. If they can do it, so can we. As for the Steg, have you ever been to Cameron Indoor Stadium? It is an absolute dump. It's the environment that matters---not the arena itself.

What, I ask, is the SUBJECT of the day, for UGA ?

Duh.

It's NOT Basketball.

It is that, half way through the season those of us who care about UGA Sports, have the heat on Coach Richt to get rid of his buddies and college roommates as his "coaching staff."

And, we have made the point clear that if he isn't going to do that, he can leave with them.

15-16 LOSING record vs. LSU, Florida, Auburn and Tennessee in 8 years plus.

17-19 LOSING record vs. Final AP Poll Top 25 teams in 8 years plus.

7 LOSSES vs. teams NOT in the Final AP Poll Top 25 teams in 8 years plus.

Get rid of your "coaching staff" Coach Richt, or MOVE ON.
