Hopefully , not having a PK that is months out of highschool, and not having our worn out LB's working double duty on STwill improve that situation. Of the 25 guys out, that's where those 10 or so, that nobody seemed to think mattered, hurt the most. Did you notice the ST where pretty damn good till about mid-season and progressively went downhill?

UGA Belle,
I agree that injuries were the main cause of last year's defensive woes. I would add that Richt mentioned that the Dawgs didn't practice live tackling in last year's preseason, which caused guys to lose their tackling fundamentals. While I agree with you that mistakes by the offense could sometimes make things more difficult for the defense, I would point out that the BVG defenses often dealt quite well with the same problem. There were many games in the Greene/Pollack years where the offense would struggle and keep putting the defense back on the field without much rest, but those defenses were well-conditioned and managed to dig deep and find the strength to get a big stop no matter how tired they should've been.

I predict that the new ga mascot will be replaced before his time is due because of "an illness common to the breed", because, bless his heart, his "health & spirit" reflect the condition of the football team.

Jealous,
Ah, now you've changed the field to athletics. Next you will have it narrowed to equestrian. No matter, we beat you in athletics last year in every sport except I believe tennis.
No round-heeled ga co-ed ever "dissed" anybody I know of.
As for the BB team, you are pretty much right. But it brings to mind Brother Dave Gardener. "I may be slow but I'm ahead of you".MILES AHEAD!ga'BB team is not in the toilet, it's in the septic tank. You wannabees kill me! What a DA!

BS Patrol,

your great b-ball team has atleast 2 dubious distinctions: they are proud owners of the worst conference records of all time in the ACC AND the SEC!!! Also, they hold the distinction of having the coach do less with more than any other in America. Congrats BS, all records to be proud of for sure.
