Which Herschel was it that actually showed the class? Will he even remember this or will it be like when he won the Heisman?

Its easy for anyone to show class when your in the same room as Rodman and Dice Clay. Come on man report on something important instead of a old washed up running back that hasn’t been in a UGA uniform in 25 years.

Response to UGA well said KJ!!!
Herschel will never be old news or an "old washed up running back", he got us a National Championship and if you were a true Dawg Fan UGA would bite you in the a** for saying them (sort of like the Auburn player learned), Come on UGA sic him, woof woof!!!
Happy B-Day to to a classy Herschel, may God bless him in his life while fighting his disorder.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOO GEORGIA!

And Bill, I agree with your comments about Herschel and Tebow, who are definitely the two most dominant players I've seen. I don't count all those qbs out west who throw for 500 yards against helpless defenses, either. I mean guys who need to gut out a few yards against a top-ranked SEC defense when everyone in the stadium knows who's getting the ball, and still can't be stopped. Only Herschel, Tebow, and possibly Bo Jackson fit that description.

Bill, I was at the 1980 game as well. I was in the opposite end zone and saw Lindsay Scott's back as he headed towards the other end zone. In my 12-year old mind, he looked like a bullet. Never saw Belue throw the ball because the adults in front had me blocked.

You weren't that kid in the Florida hat that turned around and grinned at me when we were backed up 3rd and long on the 7, were you? Once the dust settled and I looked for him, he and and his dad were long gone.

It was a strange day - my grandfather would die that day in Crystal River, and I still remember a feeling of gloom caused by that and the realization that a perfect season was about to be ruined by the hated Gators. Even "The Play" didn't completely erase the memory of that feeling, but it did keep that day from being one of the worst of my young life.

By the way, Herschel's early touchdown run came right to my endzone. What a thrill that was, he looked like a giant. I can still see that huge hole open up on the right side (from Ga.'s perspective) of the line. The 1980 team never got credit for having good players other than Herschel, but we had a great o-line that year.

It doesn't matter, because a pathetic trolling POS like yourself wouldn't know class if it smacked you in the face. Even with his disorder, he's accomplished 1000x what you ever will in your worthless life, so feel free to go play in traffic.

Aw Shucks HUH??... If Boo BOO got a raise shouldnt Wille give his pay check back? I mean the Alabama game, Fla. and of course the biggest melt down in UGA history against a team with a mickey mouse offense that plays in the ACC with a bunch of underclassmen. I hope Boo Boo gets it going against those teams like Vandy and gamechickens. Its a total embarrassment for letting those teams hang around and eek out a win. No wonder the sports pundits respect UGA's football program.

I'm a die hard Gator and I really enjoy raggin on you puppies; however, I was at the Gator Bowl in 1980 when Buck and Lindsey broke my heart remembered watching Herschel thought in amazement--I'd never seen a better college football player. I listened to Larry Munson's call when #34 ran over Bill Bates in his frosh debut, and was stupified watching him outrun 2 gamecocks DB's between the hedges. Herschel is still the proto typical "best I've ever seen on a college football field," but Tebow's a close 2nd

Chip, does Lawrence usually run the 400 in meets and the scheduling of the 200 and the 4 x 400 prevent him from participating in that event? I read the story you linked to and it doesn't say anything about it. Can you find out for me? Thanks.

I guess everybody is snowed in or didn't come into work. Hopefully we'll have some more participation tomorrow. Let me know some subjects you'd like to discuss.

Aaron in AZ,

The only person that I would disagree with in your statement is Matt Ceroine. I just guessing you didn't hear the f-bomb and the bit^h he dropped on national television last year during the NCCG.

BTW dog fans, Can't wait to come to Athens to beat down your puppies and see my #1 team in nation show you how to real men play baseball. lol

Kidding on the second part, just looking forward to the series.

All I was saying is that there are other things to report on that are going at UGA than a running back that hasn't put on a UGA uniform in 25 years being on some stupid T.V. show with trump.
