Clearwater Jazz Holiday: See Esperanza Spalding for $10

Admission to the Clearwater Jazz Holiday is no longer free, but the four-day music fest is still a crazy-good deal.

This year's event takes place Oct. 18-21. The talent descending upon Coachman Park is well worth the $10 daily price of admission.

Among the headliners is singer/bassist Esperanza Spalding, winner of the 2011 Best New Artist Grammy. Even if you've never heard of her, just go ahead and buy the tickets. Come October, when you post the concert pics on your Facebook page, you'll be amazed by all the "likes" you get.

Here's the rest of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday lineup, as it now stands:

  • Thursday: Carol Stein and Friends, Maia Sharp, Bonnie Raitt
  • Friday: Common Ground Reunion, Down to the Bone, Mindi Abair and Friends featuring Jeff Golub and David Pack
  • Saturday: Pat Close and the Groove, El Nino Garcia and the Latin Kings, Tia Fuller Quartet, Kurt Elling, Esperanza Spalding Radio Music Society
  • Sunday: Ruth Eckerd Hall/Clearwater Jazz Holiday Youth Jazz Band, the Cave Dwellers featuring the Reinhardt Brothers, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds, the Avett Brothers
