Experience Living History With Rural Folklife Days Nov. 1-3
Have you ever wondered about the daily lives of earlier generations of Floridians, and about the skills they possessed? You have an excellent opportunity to learn and be entertained this weekend, from Thursday, Nov. 1 to Saturday, Nov. 3 at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in White Springs.
According to the state park's website: Rural Folklife Days celebrates the region's rural past with demonstrations and hands-on learning activities. Visitors can taste jellies, play traditional games, churn butter, sing songs, hear storytelling, quilt on a frame, taste sugar cane, assist a blacksmith, and the list goes on and on. If it has to do with rural living, chances are it will be featured at this event.
