Looking for some Halloween fun? Florida's state parks have you covered.

You can always count on our state parks to bring holiday festivities to residents and visitors alike, and Halloween is no exception. To see activities at all of the state parks, visit www.floridastateparks.org. Here is just a small samping of the activities going on in the next few days:

  • Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park and the Friends of Maclay Gardens, Inc. have invited the public to Scarecrows in the Gardens, so come out and see their one-of-a-kind creations. The scarecrows will be on display through Wednesday, Oct. 31. The event is free with paid park admission.   • Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park is presenting The Haunting of Fort Taylor on Tuesday, Oct. 30, and Wednesday, Oct. 31. The event brings history to life with a haunted twist. Fees for adults are $13; $10 for military; and $8 for kids 5 to 12 years old. Kids under 5 get in free. Find out more at www.hauntedkeywestfort.com or call 352-292-6713.
