Coral Castle’s First Night Tours In 89 Years

In celebration of the Autumnal Equinox, Coral Castle will be open and will offer their first guided night tours in 89 years! The date is Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012.

That alone is reason to go, but wait till you see this amazing, inspiring and mystical place! They’ll be open until 10 p.m. offering special after-dark tours through the castle for just $15, tax included. And, come hungry because you can get a spaghetti and meatball dinner, with salad, for $5.00! What a night!

About the Autumnal (fall) Equinox

Twice a year the sun shines directly on the equator, making the length of day and night nearly equal. If you know your history, you already know that to many cultures and religions, including the Druids and Mayans, celebrate this occasion. Now you can, too, in the most perfect of venues.

Coral Castle is the Stonehenge of America. This place has baffled scientists, engineers and scholars since 1923 – and it still does! The Castle’s builder, Ed Leedskalnin, weighed a mere 100 pounds and stood just over 5 feet tall when he built the Coral Castle – all by himself, in secret. Some of the Castle’s rock pieces are twice the weight of the largest blocks of the great pyramids of Egypt! Read that line again - slowly-  some of the Castle’s rock pieces are twice the weight of the largest blocks of the great pyramids of Egypt. How'd he do that?

Upon entering, you will FEEL the energy. Get this – nine ley lines – electromagnetic lines that criss-cross the earth and are used by migratory birds to ensure they stay on the correct path – converge on this site. And you'll find many Masonic symbols if you pay attention. It will astound you.

The Castle has a 9-ton gate that you can move with your finger, a 28-ton Obelisk, and a Sundial that keeps time to the minute. If you’re a sucker for romance or just love mystery and science – join me on Saturday night at Coral Castle.

This is the number one rated attraction in Jacksonville by Trip Advisor and if you read the reviews, you’ll see that Jax Water Tours scored high marks for providing such a personal experience.
