Imaginarium’s 17th Birthday Bash

Feed fish, geese and ducks at the Fisheye Lagoon at the Imaginarium in downtown Fort Myers.

The Imaginarium in downtown Fort Myers is turning 17 – and to celebrate, they're having a birthday party with a live radio remote, prizes, half-price admission for the day and more. The event is Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (special activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Everyone in your family will love the Imaginarium – even teenagers. We were here a few weeks ago with a large crew and I had to drag them out at closing time. It’s so fun on a normal day, so I can only imagine how much fun it will be on this special day!

Here’s what’s in store:

  • Sneak peek at new Be the Dinosaur outdoor exhibit
  • Cat Country Radio live remote with giveaways from 10 a.m to noon
  • Science shows
  • Live animal encounters
  • Dinosaurs! 3-D movie
  • Half off admission for the day (under 3 always free)

In addition to the birthday party fun, check out some of our hottest new programs in the Nanoscience Lab; broadcast live from the IMAG-TV Studio and email your video creation to friends; try the Dinosaur survival simulator; and get blown away in the Hurricane Experience.

Outside, you can feed the fish, turtles, ducks, and geese, then check out the interactive Caloosahatchee Experience exhibit and the beautiful butterfly garden.
