Lost American- 5:35;
"He(Saddam) was not a supporter of terrorism."
"The lies have been told so often..."

...and "Lost" swallows them whole & recycles them faithfully...

Saddam openly payed Palestinian suicide bombers to blow themselves & innocents up, at $20,000 a pop. Prior to the US invasion, suicide terrorists were easy to recruit and bombings were routine occurances. After Iraq was invaded the 2nd time, the plague of suicide bombings in Israel dropped off dramatically...

"Saddam was not a supporter of terrorism" = another liberal/progressive/democrat lie...and the decieved will go on being decieved.

"The hard Left in this country was, like the rest of us rallied, however briefly, around a strong President taking action in response to 9/11 to protect our shores and to keep Americans safe abroad. That support was not long-lasting. "

Mr. Wooten, what did this strong President do after 911? I'd like to know. Did he attack the 911 conspirators? Oh I hope so. The only thing new in the world is the history we dont know. (I only got a B in history in college).

I think it's great that Wooten's writing about history after 911. I apparently missed it all, and dont know it. Now I've learned what this strong president did after 911 that "protected our shores and kept Americans safe abroad". What a great story of our history that I did not know.

 I love learning history that I didn't know. History is great because it changes you once you know where we came from, and what happened that you can rely on as being the truth.

I feel safer and am voting GOP in 2012.

I'm always surprised at the number of rocks Jim turns over when the truth is printed here. However, I'm not surprised at what crawls out from under those rocks.

Lets try this without all of the name calling and talking points...When Mcveigh bombed the Ok. City federal Building, it was an act of terroism commited in this country against a civilian target. He has tried, convicted, and put to death for his crime. The Gwinnett county jail is stocked full of illegal immigrants that have commited crimes against the people of this country. In each case, they will be tried for those crimes, and punished accordingly. It seems as if you are the one that is rambling on, pushing your own warped political agenda. I don't know how often I have tosay this, but please stop towing the party line and start thinking for yourself. I am not, nor have I ever been a hack for either party. You on the other hand can't see the forrest for the trees unless they have red or blue, right or left labels stamped all over them.

Dear Lost, when you say “ I don’t love Obama anymore than I hate Bush,” the natural presumption is that the appropriate modifier for each is “madly” or “passionately.” To your main “point,” (in your 8:19 rambling) I think you inadvertently undermine your own argument. “it does not matter when the terrorist entered Afghanistan, only that they were there when they attacked us. That is were they were based ant that is the country that was giving them safe harbor.” Doe the logic not thereafter follow that noncitizens committing acts against the US from remote locations are indeed engaged in acts of war rather than crimes? Do you grant US citizenship rights to all evildoers in the world? Do you grant rights under the Geneva convention to those who flout the predicate requirements? The leftist legalism protecting the terrorists is not only muddled, but is not even well-founded. Take a deep breath, and use the cognitive powers you have surely developed in your lifetime, to consider an intelligent resolution rather than one that follows the leftist lemmings.
