The emails between Major Hasan and his Al Qaeda contacts spoke of jihad and martyrdom, and yet this did not trigger any alert by the FBI, the NSA or the Army–all of which were reading his mail. To add insult to injury, probably the dimmest bulb in the Senate, Susan Collins, claims she could connect the dots. This is like the 9/11 report which is impressive in the details of what we knew and when we knew it, yet depressing in the absence of what was done with that information.

This refusal to recognize domestic terrorism by the Obamites is the result of political correctness. This more than health care, more than the failing economy, more than anything else could sink the Obama administration. Bring it on.!

Conscription is slavery.

If it’s that important for elected officials to understand the military, we could have a rule that anyone who wants to run must first have served in the military. However, I am inclined to be wary of such a rule. Of course anyone who likes such a rule is free to apply it to their choice of whom to vote for.

Our country’s Sex Offender Registries (actually, mostly the idiotic laws that they have enabled) are doing a fine job of creating a nice, very large group of domestic terrorists. The Registries have caused a huge amount of problems all the while doing literally nothing significantly useful. And even the little bit of use that they do provide can easily be attained by other easier, far more effective methods.

The Registries have led to thousands (tens of thousands? hundreds?) of innocent people being harmed who would not have been had the Registries not existed. They have gotten children murdered. Exactly as ALL of the experts who testified before Georgia’s legislative committees told them they would.

But we don’t really care, of course. We’re gitten them there Sex Offenders!! These laws just make us feel so good, don’t they? Just like we did when we were running colored people away from our water fountains and neighborhoods. Or burning witches at the stake. But the reality is – good Americans don’t support the laws enabled by the Registries.
