We did it, Reid just announced we have until fall to STOP OBAMA, but fall is not that far away folks.STOP SOCIALIZED MEDICINE.
Tort reform, salaried staff, increased sanctions and oversight on fraud, team oriented care, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
Information is out there saying that the actual people who really are uninsured (excluding non-citizens and those who can afford it but chose not to get it) is really around 17-20 million, which is different to the 45-50 million people that Obummer and admin claim.
The American people and a more bi-partisan group of elected officials can will come up with way to "reform" our current system.
NO NATIONAL HEALTH CARE = NO SOCIALIZED MEDICINE
GOD BLESS AMERICA

Agree with the time past on discussion with the healthcare. The reason we are struggling is that everyone wants to put a patch and not solve the problem really.

And may be they can not. Imagine the money in the healthcare that is flowing is creating job. You cut cost and these jobs that should not have been there in the first place would go away. Who wants more unemployment?

Yes, it sounds short term but that is reality.

For that reason, healthcare reform has to be phased in. And the reform can not happen till as a nation we decide what we want to be. What is that ideal healthcare system we want to design?

Only then we can have a meaningful dialoge.

THe cost cutting aspect is simple and also we do not need any more money to solve the problem. We already have more money than we need. In my experience, if you improve the performance of healthcare industry including administrative waste, there is money to take care of all and still have some change left.

We wrote few ideas on our blog on healthcare reform on our blog that may be a more reasonable.....

Obama hasn’t had 7 months yet." (BTW it is Reagan . . not Raegan) . . you just made my point . . look at the crap that Obama has done in 7 months . . can hardly wait for the rest of his term if we live so long especially after he turns us into a weak, inflation, depend on the gov'ment nation!
Also. . I'm not concerned about 2012 . . like you demos obviously are since you seem to dwell on it so much . . I frankly don't care who runs then . . .
Palin in 2012 Make Our Day! You must be one of those who got your education when all the educational standards were lowered so that you could make the grade in school. Only thing is those like you didn't stay in school because it was easier to go out and smash and grab and make money on the street selling drugs, etc.
As far as your statement of those individuals who would rather get their nails and hair done than to pay their health insurance premiums. . I do know for a fact that was the case because I dealt with them on a daily basis. And as soon as they had an illness that called for more treatment than an office visit would take care of . . . they came whinning wanting to pick up insurance (BTW that is like waiting until you have a car accident and calling an auto insurer and expecting them to give you insurance. . duh!!!!) You obviously don't recall (maybe it is because you are still wet behind the ears) the uproar a few years or so ago when the HMOs were trying to manage health care and everyone was upset because they couldn't get the HMOs to pay for every whim that everybody thought they had to have. Until you work in the health care area I don't think you have a clue! So why don't you stick with something you know about like the taxing, increasing the deficit more than all the presidents before, run our health care system in the ground to cover a few people who choose not to have cover demos . . . I would imagine your IQ is about the same as Pelosi's and Barney Frank's!!!
So what are you so afraid of . . Palin! Those of you who go on and on about Palin are obviously so afraid of her!!! If you think she is as dumb as a rock . . I'd put her up against that smiling like a jack a-- Pelosi anytime!!!
Oh yes, one finally thing. . .the dog sh_t you refer to was created by the Demos like Clinton, Barney Frank and his cronies at Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac . . . long before Bush arrived on the scene. So kiss my grits!!!

Yeah we're stupid allright 1stPeachSchmutz. That's intelligent commenting. I've never seen a more delusional set of disjointed comments. Are you possibly in the Palin family? You're exhibit "A" as an example of Georgia perenially last in education at any school level.

Raegan had 8 years. Obama hasn't had 7 months yet. Raegan, Gingrich, Phil Graham 12 fooking years as Chairman of Senate Finance--old man Greenspan Mr. Andrea Mitchell deregulated the financial system into the ground. The Newtster--is he at 3% fopr 2012 or is it 1.5%.

Obama doesn't have a deficit yet. He's still cleaning up Bush's dog sh_t and the dog sh_t of his treasury secretaries and the Bush SEC that did such a great job of regulating Madoff. TARP is owned by Raegan and it's screwing you harder and more anorgasmically than you've ever been in your life.

You sound like a real medical powerhouse. Having taken care of patients my entire adult life--I know it couldn't qualify as nearly as complex as your HMO whatever I haven't seen a statement you've made about health care that isn't delusional.

That's your assessment of the healthcare landscape--LOL--you know that people got their "hair and nails done" and didn't consider that they might be sick. That's fantastic. It's also the reason why you won't be making any health care decisions and neither will your party. We need 51 votes only per reconciliation and we have them in spades. I don't know what you think you saw as an HMO employee but physicians have seen 20,000 people who paid for insurance cut by the Big 3 in the last five years--the term is recision, but I'm fine with "kicked out."

We have some of the worst outcomes and the largest health care overruns in the world. I'm plenty confident with a public health care plan as are the majority of physicians in this country. It's about time insurance companies had competition. And as you're going to hear for the next 3 months, if the pubtards and the insurance companies are so confident the government can't run a competitive program against the insurance companies, then no doubt the government public health alternative will collapse right? And the insurnace companies will be all alone calling the shots, screwing MDs and patients with phony data bases.

You're stereotype of "blind Obama folks" is typically Jaw Jaw hick. Obama has a worse civil rights record at this point than Bush. I read all the appellate filings that you wouldn't have a clue how to find and read, and right now without anyone running OLC (I know you don't have a clue what that is) Obama is functioning in court to the right of Bush.

Bush didn't happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He flew every aspect of government including the economy and foreign relations into the ground. The person who is at the wrong place at the wrong time is you yammering.

So Palin's your gal is that right? She's afraid of interviews and she wrote an op ed in WaPo that was dumb as a rock. Who's your candidate in 2012? They're all dead men walking and one woman with severe untreated Borderline Personality--get your HMO to help you look it up or Google John Gunderson.

BTW the first of about 15 lawsuits that Ricci filed was an affirmative action law suit based on the grounds that he was dyslexic.

Can you people be anymore stupid! Those of you who justify Obama's deficit by attempting to compare it with Reagan's . . well you're just plan stupid! If you truly believe that Reagan's deficit was so bad . . then how in the hell do you justify Obama's! So Reagan had a deficit . . does that make Obama's super stupendeous deficit ok? I think not.
And having worked with one of the state's largest employee health care plan I can tell you there are a lot of folks who have chosen not to have health care because they would rather have the money to get their hair and nails done. They don't have a clue that there might come a day when they might truly be sick . . and not just with a cold but a devasting disease.
If you folks who complained about HMOs a few years back because the HMOs wouldn't pay for this or that . . well honey you ain't seen nothing yet until government gets control of your health care. Have any of you ever heard of managed care? I have seen my health benefits decrease and my premiums go up and up and the health plan has tried to control the rising costs my utilization and managed care. But so many people are wanting services they don't really need and they are wanting the drugs they see advertised on tv.
Oh and all you ya-hoos who want to complain about the money spent on the Iraq war . . well you didn't complain as long as the economy was rocking along and everybody was getting their "American Dream" . . . even those who had bad credit, no down payments and only had to pay the interest on their mortgages (thanks to Clinton, Barney Frank, Freddie Mae and Freddie Mac).
I think you blind Obama smitten folks can't see your nose on your face. If you don't wake up it is going to be too late.
This economy didn't get this bad thanks to Bush . . . he just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time . . he had to deal with what was passed on to him from the demos and deal with the terrorist who were and are still out to do us in.

@ Booger--

Get off your butt. Check the extensive references in this book or not. I haven't made them up and I've linked it about 15 times here in the past several months.

<em>@ Booger:

Haul your butt to the nearest bookstore and sit down and look at it Booger or not. I read it. I didn't make the book up; and I don't waste my time reading books that aren't well reference and written by people with expertise in the area. I didn't "make any of this up."</em>

<strong><a href="http://www.amazon.com/Three-Trillion-Dollar-War-Conflict/dp/0393067017" rel="nofollow">The 3 Tillion Dollar War (and Pushing 4 Trillion)</a></strong>

Joe Stiglitz is a well known economist at Columbia and has been a full professor since coming there. That tends to happen to Nobel Prize winners who go to the faculty of Ivy League schools. He's former Chief Economist at the World Bank. He won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2001.

He can count and probably a helluva lot better than you can.

Booger keep us posted when you get the Nobel in Economics.

And Obama doesn't take orders from washed up hick Zell Miller--he's had a bit more political success and will soon have infinitely more accomplisments than Jaw Jaw Zell.

Get off your butt. Check the extensive references in this book or not. I haven’t made them up and I’ve linked it about 15 times here in the past several months.

<em>Please run Palin,

See you are throwing around the trillions figure for Iraq again. TOTAL COST OF IRAQ WAR BY THE END OF THIS FISCAL YEAR 694 BILLION. Last week you said you didn’t trust the number because Congress was lying and they were stupid. Interesting to see the turnaround in one week as we can go to the bank with all their health care cost predictions.

You just kinda make things up as you go, don’t you?</em>

<strong>Booger--that's been your mantra for a couple weeks. Its f_cking insulting and intended to be. You refuse to read and you ignore that I always state my references, citations of authority, or reasons or sources for the reasons I make a point. It's near impossible to have a discussion or even an argument here because people like you

a) won't read
b) ignore the sources I use and I always use them
c) Pretend I pull them out of the air or somewhere else
d) Focus on saying someone you don't agree with is worthless.

I'm pretty happy with my level of reading and sources considering the time I have to do it. IRAQ was a dumb f_cking idea pushed by morons.</strong>

I've said several times I reject your figures. I've posted my references all in one neat book but you are too lazy to get off your butt and thumb through the book.

One thing I always do I cite my sources. I don't "make figures up." I'm not going to argue about it--if you need to get someone literate to read my posts to you or not.

And get real. You can't do a damn thing about what gets spent or what gets hidden from Congress. You can either pay taxes, cheat on them, or ignore taxes. Your choice. You can put your money in a place like UBS Switzerland and take your chances as to whether they'll turn you over for prosecution. See if DOJ will indict them or not or whether the major tax evaders or all of em get turned over.

Whatever the figure is, and the book you pretend I haven't mentioned several times is my source for money spent.

Even if it were less than a trillion, it is money wasted, lives wasted, and there are 3 million plus widows with kids displaced from Iraq. It gets worse every day. We are pushing 5000 dead in Iraq and Afghanistan with road side IEDs easy to hide there.

I don't have time to explain it to you but the money $1.75+ billion that Chambliss wants to waste on the F22 would go a long way toward getting the head /brain protection for soldiers that exists but isn't in Iraq or Afghanistan and the money could prevent a large number of permanant severe brain injuries from IEDs.

We're going to veto the ignorant cracker Chambliss.
