Run, Sarah, run (set the pace, too)

Thinking Right’s weekend free-for-all. Pick a topic:

Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney and her publicity-seeking stunts have finally achieved the attention she deserves: One- or two-paragraph stories that run with those that warn us that sheep on the remote Scottish island of Hirta are gradually shrinking because of global warming. Global warming’s shrunk our interest in her, too.

Are pickups prejudiced? Two Dalton people were killed when the motorcycle they were riding was sideswiped by a motorist who apparently crossed the center lane. A motorist driving a car could have done the same thing. Yet pickup drivers — I am one — are presumed to be aggressive and when a lesser vehicle is involved, it’s always noted that the offending vehicle was a pickup.

Not surprising that among the big cities with the lowest unemployment rates is Washington, D.C., with 6.2 percent. Atlanta ranks 18th, at 9.6 percent. The stimulus creates jobs. For government workers.

Atlanta businesses about to be hit with a sharp increase in city property taxes fall into two camps: those who pass on the entire levy and the mom-and-pop operators who can’t, and therefore take it out of salaries and services. The latter are the kinds that get taxed out of existence.

The cheating by officials at four elementary schools on the CRCT is so dishonest to children and their parents that nobody found to be involved should ever be allowed to set foot on public school property again. The schools are Deerwood Academy in Atlanta, Atherton Elementary in DeKalb, Parklane Elementary in Fulton and Burroughs-Molette in Glynn County. It is simply appalling that despite the evidence Atlanta Public Schools officials still pretend otherwise. “They’re taking the position that there’s no confession, so it didn’t happen,” a state official told the state school board.

A study finds that Georgia ranks 14th nationally in percentage of fat adults and third nationally in fat 10- to 17-year-olds. Georgia is criticized in the report by the Trust for America’s Health for not having strict nutrition standards for school lunches and vending machines. It ain’t the school’s fault. Children eat at the same tables with fat mommas and daddies. The place to start reforming America’s health care system is at the TV snack tray.

Fat Georgians are in training to reclaim a title lost last week. Three circus elephants defeated three humans in an eating contest, downing 505 hot dog buns in six minutes. Humans downed 143.

Take the dog, you take the fleas. The Securities and Exchange Commission votes unanimously to require companies requiring a bail-out to allow shareholders to vote on executive compensation. I agree with the principle. It is, however, an instance of regulators using the bail-out to meddle in management’s business.

Run, Sarah, run. Actually, all candidates should resign to run for higher office. All four of the presidential and vice presidential candidates last year, including Palin, held onto their jobs until they got something better.

If North Korea launches a cyberattack on Thinking Right, I’m drafting every fierce liberal who camps out on my blog and assigning them to Kim Jong II’s blog, Thinking Nutty.

Vice President Joe Biden announced that hospitals have agreed to forgo $155 billion in future government payments so the nonexistent money can be diverted to partially “finance” a new health care entitlement that Democrats want to ram through Congress this year. First of all, the money is an illusion. Secondly, Biden is not authorized to speak for the administration.

The pot smokers have the same solution to California’s budget woes that the Underground Atlanta gambling interests have for Georgia’s: Legalize something objectionable. Surely somebody’s convinced that prostitution is some state’s budget savior.

So if Sarah Stream of Consciousness (ah lies ’cause that’s what narcissitic personality disorders always do) whose face is developing wrinkles faster than prunes in a dryer looked like Susan Boyle or Kaye Baily Hutcheson, Olympia Snowe, or Susan Collins then Mr. Impulsive loose cannon might not have chosen the ditz brain is that it?

Why not go out and get one of them neked dancers in one of them Hotlanta saloons who are more articulate and better able to grasp the issues and govern?

Ah does likes the way Palin who is Alaska money conscious

1) filed the most expensive ethics complaint against herself for the vendetta she ran against her brother-in-law–family fueds must be a Palin specialty.

2) Is refusing $28.6 million in stimulus money forcing a special legislative session that will cost Alaska additional millions.

If Ensign’s mommy and daddy gave money to his nookie out of generosity and that money was near 100 grand, how does that square with the federal code section requiring taxes to be paid on gifts above 12 grand. Jist wondrin’ all you federal code afficianados.

Also clown of the week Dr. Tom Coburn, an obgyn citing a privilege with his roomie Ensign because Dr. Coburn claims to have functioned as a self-ordained “deacon.” That’ll fly well in federal court.

We have a lot of gong. shows going on at once from the Republican party. At least Coburn hasn’t tried to induce labor in the 51 year old child Ensign yet.

Gimme that Stream of Consciousness to Nowhere and the party who wants to run a severely mentally ill woman who pushed the bridge to nowhere, who touts the pipeline of non-existence.

And some of you sophisticated Twitter tweeters twitterdeck afficianados, is that dangling ampersand on mah girl Sarah’s twitters her symbol for “also” one of her favorite dangling conjunctions? She’s from the Professor Irwin Corey school of grammar right, and that dangling ampersand & is her counterpart to Corey’s “furthermore” you betcha goshdarnit right? And also &!

Neal,

Yep Neal, I do have a brother-in-law with a small business. I saw him this past weekend, and he said he is staying in a holding pattern until he knows how all the changes being bantered around are going to affect him. He will maintain, he hopes, enough business to keep his core group of employees, but he will not attempt to grow.

When you are in an 8% profit margin environment, it is hard to bid on business which will still be active after all the changes are made.

Joe Gillis: You’re Sarah Palin. You were almost Vice-President. You used to be big.
Sarah Palin: I am big. It’s Alaska that got small.

Portriat of a textbook sick, untreated Borderline Personality from Billiant at Breakfast:

Here’s the tragedy of Sarah Palin: If she weren’t a mean-spirited right-wing Christofascist narcissistic nutball, she COULD have been the kind of feminist around which women could rally. But alas, she is only an aging beauty queen, a Mean Grrrl who in politics has found a way to extend her reign as Prettiest Girl in High School to use people (or states) and then throw them away when they stop feeding her massive ego — or the gaping hole in her soul which no amount of attention will fill.

These results show that Obama was able to use his campaign to reassure voters about his qualifications for office, but they also show how deep a perceived hole Palin is now in. When Obama began his campaign in early 2007, only a third of voters (32%) considered him “not very” or “not at all qualified” to be president. Compare that to the 55% who say Palin is not “fit” for the presidency now or to the 52% to 59% who said she was not “prepared” or not “qualified” last October.

Diversions are failing you. Obumer’s government spending by far exceeds that of Bush and the Republicans. Osamer continues the Bush legacy in Iraq – we are still there by the way and will be for many years to come and in that other place Osamer supported Bush, then and presently: Walk his way, talk his way the tune is so familiar. Now talk about the $8 trillion or so Obumer and your Dunkeys are pissing down the socialists rat-hole, foreign and domestic. Another round of AIG bonuses are on tap for we taxpayers, want to talk about Robert Rubin and protege Larry Summers during the closing Clinton years? How about John Conyers who blocks an investigation of ACORN which has legal problems in about 13 states and what of Conyers wife convicted of taking a bribe? Then turn the page to John Martha, should make for interesting conversation?

Republicans are asking “were’s” the jobs promised by the porkulus bill, the one Obumer says has no earmarks (taxpayers for common sense found about 8,500 pieces of pork) . With something like 10% or so of the money having been spent Obumer and porkers can’t point to the promised jobs created in the private sector? The nation kinda thinks we’d have at least a handful of those jobs by now after all that money spent, instead of increasing unemployment.

Osamer’s transparency seems to have vanished in a Dick Cheney haze, hard to find it beneath all that Osamer secrecy, maybe one of Obumer’s 32 Czars that only answer to him knows of were to find that magical disappearing promised Obumer government transparency?

Move along lil’ dunkey.

Cobb County Board of Educaton has been doing it’s voting in secret.Seems that old idea of doing the public’s business in public would cramp their style.There’s a lot more of this voting in secret going on than we realize,probably.In small towns,a few phone calls and the public’s business is decided in secret.

Mayor Ray Nagin,New Orleans,is urging all former New Orleans residents that were displaced by Hurricane Katrina to list New Orleans as their residence on the 2010 census form.This will allow New Orleans to collect more federal dollars that it wouldn’t otherwise be entitled to.Never mind that so listing a false address is illegal.

Let me know what you’re smokin’. The overt costs of Iraq are 4 trillion and counting; the covert costs may be double that. The public report (let alone the private one) released yesterday revealed the Bush administration lied repeatedly as to wiretapping and didn’t even attempt the dog and pony show for legal opinions from the criminal Yoo until well after the illegal fourth amendment violations from your moron Bush took place.

I suggest you get help with your poll interpretation from Nate Silver at http://www.fivethirtyeight.com because in every poll Obama’s overall polling in the high 60’s and your republican scum are hovering in the high 20’s. When the time comes for elections, there will be evidence the economy is improving, despite the pile of crap eight years of your administration’s absurd spending and chaotic governing left of the economy for us to pick up on Jan. 20, 2008, and we will crush you to dust in 2010 and 2012.

Tell me what candidates we get the pleasure of crushing in 2012. You going to run the severly mentally ill Palin? I doubt your party will allow that. Fortunately for your party, Wooten has no influence as to the candidates and the rest of his ignorant JawJaws who worship a potent amalgum of mental illness coupled with pure stupidity and love of stupidity.

Let’s get on with the business of getting on, since those jackals can’t address the hell their Dear Leaders are sending this nation, starting with Cap & Trade (amazing how not one of them has brought that up, no? No.).

First order of business: Race. Ohio is a Blue state. Ohio elected Obama. You always hear the libtards trash the South about racists/conservatives/rednecks/pickups and whatnot. But have you ever noticed that the vast majority of racist news over the last, uhm, dunno, 30 years or so has come out of areas OTHER than the South? Anyone remember that NYC subway vigilante shooting? Anyway, the latest case in point:

Akron police investigate teen mob attack on family

By Phil Trexler
Beacon Journal staff writer

POSTED: 07:44 p.m. EDT, Jul 07, 2009

Akron police say they aren’t ready to call it a hate crime or a gang initiation. But to Marty Marshall, his wife and two kids, it seems pretty clear.

It came after a family night of celebrating America and freedom with a fireworks show at Firestone Stadium. Marshall, his family and two friends were gathered outside a friend’s home in South Akron.

Out of nowhere, the six were attacked by dozens of teenage boys, who shouted ”This is our world” and ”This is a black world” as they confronted Marshall and his family. The Marshalls, who are white, say the crowd of teens who attacked them and two friends June 27 on Girard Street numbered close to 50. The teens were all black. ”This was almost like being a terrorist act,” Marshall said. ”And we allow this to go on in our neighborhoods?” They said it started when one teen, without any words or warning, blindsided and assaulted Marshall’s friend as he stood outside with the others. When Marshall, 39, jumped in, he found himself being attacked by the growing group of teens.

His daughter, Rachel, 15, who weighs about 90 pounds, tried to come to his rescue. The teens pushed her to the ground. His wife, Yvonne, pushed their son, Donald, 14, into bushes to keep him protected. ”My thing is,” Marshall said, ”I didn’t want this, but I was in fear for my wife, my kids and my friends. I felt I had to stay out there to protect them, because those guys were just jumping, swinging fists and everything.

”I’m lucky. They didn’t break my ribs or bruise my ribs. I thank God, they concentrated on my thick head because I do have one. They were trying to take my head off my spine, basically.”

After several minutes of punches and kicks, the attack ended and the group ran off. The Marshalls’ two adult male friends were not seriously hurt. ”I don’t think I thought at that moment when I tried to jump in,” Rachel Marshall said. ”But when I was laying on the ground, I was just scared.”

Marshall was the most seriously injured. He suffered a concussion and multiple bruises to his head and eye. He said he spent five nights in the critical care unit at Akron General Medical Center.

The construction worker said he now fears for his family’s safety, and the thousands of dollars in medical bills he faces without insurance. ”I knew I was going to get beat, but not as bad as I did,” Marshall said. ”But I did it to protect my family. I didn’t have a choice. There was no need for this. We should be all getting along. But to me, it seems to be racist.” Akron police are investigating. Right now, the case is not being classified as a racial hate crime. There were no other reports of victims assaulted by the group that night. The department’s gang unit is involved in the investigation, police said. ”We don’t know if it’s a known gang, or just a group of kids,” police Lt. Rick Edwards said. The Marshalls say they fear retaliation at home or when they go outside. They are considering arming themselves, but they’re concerned about the possible problems that come with guns. For now, they are hoping police can bring them suspects. They believe they can identify several of the attackers. ”This makes you think about your freedom,” Marshall said. ”In all reality, where is your freedom when you have this going on?”

Martin Marshall (right) recounts the attack by a group of teens on himself and his family while they were watching a Fourth of July fireworks display in Firestone Park. His daughter, Rachel Hopson, 15, (left) and wife, Yvonne Marshall, listen. (Michael Chritton/Akron Beacon

Interesting. So no hate crime here. I wonder, if a gang of white thugs had done that to a Black family, do you think the initial reaction would have been “not ready to call it a hate crime” here?

Yeah, yeah. More leftists yada, yada, yada. Who knows who will run but Obumer and the socialist Democrats will be running for cover in 2010. Obumer’s spending already dwarf’s Bush spending and on privacy issues Obumer is making Bush and Cheney look like a couple of naive choir boys!

How many Czars did Bush have, how more many will Obumer have in addition to the 32 presently, more than double the amount Bush had already. Eyes and ears dear public $250 million in AIG bonuses will be determined by Obumer’s Pay Czar in the coming months.

Don’t need Nate and EVERY POLL doesn’t show Obumer’s ratings favorable as revealed by The Rasmussen Reports. Soon the mainstream news media will no longer be in the tank for Obumer as the public dissatisfaction grows and grows and grows undeniably against the crap they’ve pumped out to cover-up Obumer failures when they don’t to report what is really going on. If this msn ever dogged out Biden as they have Pailn, Shara would be considered a genius against a blathering buffoon I-can’t-get-my-two-left-feet-out-of-my-mouth, Joe Biden.

Why are the dunkeys and Obumer trying to crush an audit of the Federal Reserve by the Government Accounting Office (GAO).

A new survey from Public Policy Polling of Minnesotans–those lucky souls now boasting a full contingent of two US senators–shows Obama beating Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty in a potential head-to-head presidential matchup, 51 percent to 40 percent. Obama beat John McCain in Minnesota last year by 10 points, carrying 45 counties.

In the same poll Obama bests soon-to-be-former Gov. Sarah Palin in a hypothetical 2012 presidential matchup by an even wider margin, 56 percent to 35 percent. The fuller poll results show that Palin receives lower net approval from Minnesota women (34 percent approving, 56 percent disapproving) than men (44 percent, 49 percent).

Signaling the effects of the devastating financial crisis on the US economy, a non-US firm topped the list for the first time in over a decade, with Anglo-Dutch energy giant Royal Dutch Shell coming in first.

Got GM? Heh. Maybe I should go on ahead and buy that Camaro SS I always wanted, no? Yes. Under these jackalcrats running things, a “fast car” will be labeled as an earth killer. Oh, and I might want to go ahead and buy a new Snapper rider mower before we are all forced to use electrical push mowers powered by our own government-mandated solar panels – IF we get a sunny Saturday mind you…………..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
General Motors completed an unusually quick exit from bankruptcy protection on Friday with ambitions of making money and building cars people are eager to buy. Once the world’s largest and most powerful automaker, new GM is now leaner, cleansed of massive debt and burdensome contracts that would have sunk it without federal loans.
….. At a news conference, CEO Fritz Henderson said the revamped automaker will be faster and more responsive to customers than the old one. It will generate cash and repay billions in government loans ahead of a 2015 deadline.
….. GM, in a viability plan presented to the government, said it would break even before interest and taxes next year, and be slightly above break-even for 2011 on a pretax basis.
“Sitting here today, I don’t have any reason to disbelieve those numbers,” Henderson said, giving no details of when the company would make a net profit.
….. He said the U.S. government, which owns a majority stake in GM, has vowed that it would not get involved in day-to-day decisions.
….. GM received $19 billion to $20 billion more in federal aid on Friday, the remainder of the $50 billion it will receive, Henderson said. A large part of the money will be held in escrow.
Turning a profit will not be easy. GM has piled up losses and survives only because of government loans.
Besides the U.S. government’s 61 percent controlling interest, the United Auto Workers union gets a 17.5 percent stake of the company through its retiree health care trust, and the Canadian government will control 11.7 percent. The remaining shares went to bondholders of the old company.
….. The parts of GM not moving to the new company will become part of “old GM,” a collection of assets and liabilities that will be sold to pay creditors.
That last sentence should end with “to partially pay creditors, if there’s any money available after administrative costs.”
“Break even before interest and taxes” probably means “will lose billions.”
But let’s get to the government-provided money. Straight from the relevant page at FinancialStability.Gov, here is the list of GM-related disbursements:
* Dec. 29, 2008; Purchase of Debt Obligation — $884,024,131
* Dec. 31, 2008; Debt Obligation with Warrants and Additional Note — $13,400,000,000
* April 22, 2009; Debt Obligation with Warrants and Additional Note — $2,000,000,000
* May 20, 2009; Debt Obligation with Warrants and Additional Note — $4,000,000,000
* June 3, 2009; Debt Obligation with Warrants and Additional Note — $30,100,000,000
The list totals to $49,984,024,131.39.
Dem-beciles can’t stand smart facts Rasmussen Reports. :lol:
Now, as previously promised:
The Mouse is back, DemocRATS protecting their own!
From the wicked old witch of the west, Comrade Pelosi’s mouse has snuck back into feast upon the harvest of a little over $16 million of the stimulus funds, which will go to restoring two Bay Area salt ponds where Nancy’s mice live.
Comrade Nancy is making sure American harvest mice have nice comfortable homes in the midst of this recession, while people 100 miles away have farms that are drying up because they wouldn’t use any stimulus money to turn on the pumps so California’s Central Valley would have the water it would need to grow crops this summer and fall.
Oh the EMPATHY of Obumer and his bummer Comrades in this Dem-becile controlled Congress. Killing the nation’s farmers to save Comrade Nancy’s kindred mice. With Cally-fornia’s (sic) budget woes you would think the Dem-becile Comrades would have something better do with $16 million than saving a rat’s butt.
No kidding folks, you can’t make this stuff up!
More from the tale of two Nancy’s: John Houston RIP, Chinatown could never equal these characters.
Just in case Obumer’s Public Healthcare Plan A fails to pass in the dem-becile Congress, Obumer-Care – wouldn’t you just know it – has his Healthcare Czar ready and waiting to implement Obumer-Care the Public Plan B.
Give this Nancy a broom as well; the air Pelosi corruption got nothing on this medical industry wench.
Obama Obumer Health Czar Made Millions from Heavily Investigated Corporations
To think, after reading about Obumer’s healthcare Czar Nancy-Ann DeParle, Obumer has the unmitigated audacity to lecture African nations on their corruption?
No kidding folks, you can’t make this stuff up!
…not that there’s anything wrong with waiting tables…. been there and done that at $2.25/hr (of course that’s where Tard land kicks in with liberalism). FORCE A COMPANY TO PAY UPand then soil yourselves about no jobs.
Buy Swiss: they are telling the O-Team Administration where to stick it on overseas accounts – and rightfully so. Fascists. I’d highly recommend getting your money out of this nation under these socialist neo-Marxists faster than a fat kid at a pizza convention.
Odumber admits to misreading the economy, time to drop back and punt. To improve stupid and make more perfect dumb Odumber and his minion Dem-beciles want to give TARP to small businesses. Want to guess which small businesses get TARP funds?
Now is the time Conservatives to put Odumber and his minion Dem-beciles in the wedge issue they’ve given us by demanding all remaining TARP funds and PORKULUS monies be redirected and used to provide a totally tax free holiday for small businesses and individuals in this country until real economic recovery and private sector job creation takes place in full.
Speaking real truth to power by returning POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
Please run Palin in 2012!
