Gov. Barbour can not even run MS properly, let along this country. Really hope GOP just pretend he doesn't exist because he's a blemish on that party I believe. Barbour holding that much power is a frightening thought...very frightening

Why not? A governor with a proven track record, as opposed to some of these pretenders and media hogs being touted now? Gov. Barbour may be just what the GOP needs.

I am waiting for ANY Republican to give me a reason to vote for them. RIght now their platform is criticize anything President Obama does. If Republicans continue to do this they can keep your eyes off anything that really matters. Sarah Palin is a joke...a sideshow in the circus. Listen to her for 10 minutes and you will realize just how naive and uninformed she actually is. The Republicans rail against the extreme left running the country right now yet they are AFRAID to reign in their extreme right mouthpieces, Rush and Sean. Republicans need to throwing out soundbites like "socialized medicine" and come up with a policy. They were elected to lead, not follow. Get on board before you get left at the station a second time. Ronald Reagan would be ashamed.....where's the LEADERSHIP?

@Che

You can use my blog handle as often as you wish. You style and acumen does not change allowing those of us who pay attention to readily discern it is you who write such insipid foolishness.

Tomorrow, write in my name again if you are brave enough.

Of course Haley Barbour could win the nomination and win the election. If the economy has not begun to improve, then President Obama will be in deep trouble, and it will have nothing to do with race. However, f conservatives continue to view their defeat through the prism of race, rather than rationally examining their ideas and organization they will be unable to defeat Obama unless he builds a mosque on the south lawn of the White House and appoints Bill Ayers as Secretary of Education. The Republicans lost because they are out of touch with a growing number of American citizens of all races. Barbour's organizational and political skilss would make him a formidable candidate, and his race and native state would have little impact. His problem, and any other Republican candidates problem, will be if he is unable to persuade Americans that he is anything other than a representative of the alliance of corporate America and religous conservatives. But, please, conservatives, keep focusing on race. I feel more confident about Democrat's chances for victory in 2010 and 2012 everytime you bring up the subject.
