When Al Gore was in the same postion Cheney is now, he was demonized as the second coming of satan himself. He was preaching conservation and restriant in our relationship with the planet and the right protrayed him as a dangerous nut. Please don't tell me what the Dems would say, wait til we say and then look small and Rovish like you did in 2001.

So Nice I Had To Post It Twice

… both Cheney and Limbaugh avoided military service of their own. Also, both Dennis Miller and William Kristol were of age during Vietnam, but never served. John Bolton didn’t want to “die in a rice paddy” in Vietnam. Sean Hannity and Frank Gaffney never served either. Hannity and Limbaugh never made it through college, and Cheney barely did himself. That is just a sampling of the right-wing hawks and neo-cons that have strongly advocated and continue to stongly advocate the use of military force as the primary tool of US foreign policy.

Contrast that cowardly crew with some of the individuals who insist that military force should only be used as a last resort, and have questioned either the decision to go to war in Iraq or the war’s subsequent conduct. Such people include: Chuck Hagel (2 purple hearts as an infantryman in Vietnam)”; Colin Powell; Jim Webb (purple heart and Navy Cross in Vietnam); and Anthony Zinni (Vietnam infantry Marine and former CentCom Commander).

It is beyond ironic and hypocritical that the Republican Party portrays itself as the party that is strong on national defense and “tough” while its spokesmen and leaders are nothing more than draft dodgers and intellectual lightweights. Every time one of those individuals speak about aggressively using the military, the first question that should be posed to them is “why didn’t you serve when it was your time?”

Good morning, Jim,

Saying that Cheney is "one" of your heroes is like saying that Mephistopheles is the "hero" of Faust. I would rather not know who your other "heroes" are. Suffice it to say that I'm relieved that Rush Limbaugh is not among them, although I think his presence continues the tradition started by Bush, the torturing president, of portraying the Republicans as low comedy.

Really? Republicans can't submit any ideas with a closed-minded President and Democratic controlled Congress! Their idea of reaching across the isle is to reach across with their hands up at the ears wiggling their fingers and saying . . . nah, nah, nah, boo, boo!!! We're in control now! Mark my word; their day will come!

"Who cares about Carter? He lost his credibility in 1979."

Most un-credible people don't win the Nobel Peace Prize and do as much for the world in their post-Presidency life as he has done. Sorry, but I respectfully disagree with your statement. Given all of this, he still seems VERY credible to me and I would venture to guess to a lot of the world including a lot of people in the U.S. (although maybe not what I assume to be an ultra conservative like yourself, but instead to people like me who are Moderate Independents and who vote for both Democrats and Republicans).

You idiots on the left don't know when to quit, do you?

"That says it all!!! Your sources for your “investigation” being Limbaugh’s daily diatribes?"

CS: I have posted several links here this evening. You show me where ONE of them is a Rush link.

"When, where and for how long? And your annual long weekend in Cancun doesn’t count."

Wow. You know more about me than I do, liberal. Amazing. Anyway, I told you that I have spent time overseas and that's all you need to know. No, I have not been a part of their health care system. However, again, I can read.

"So you don’t care that they have a better health care system that cares for folks and yet spend less per capita on health care than this country??? That fits the definition of REDNECK:"

What? no NAZI reference? I'm extremely disappointed. I don't care because their TAX STRUCTURE is completely different. But to mindless libtards like you, things like that don't really matter.

"Redneck." How liberal.

"here’s a conservative who certainly isn’t pro-business. WHAT A CHANGE! Don’t start a small business where you know you won’t get health insurance."

Let's see, libtards like you have no problem with the Obama administration taking over Chrysler and giving majority ownership to the UAW whereupon the secured debtors were thrown overboard. Sorry, your arguments from that day forward were null and void on business friendly environments. And as we know, it's only going to get worse.

"Then how does you explain the higher standards in primary education in European countries as a whole? WAIT, maybe their just smarter than we are, right??? Could be..."

I'm assuming you meant THEY'RE instead of "their" in your argument above. I've wasted enough time with you. Thanks, yet again, for proving that it doesn't take much effort to expose the mindless idiocy of you liberals.
