It will take about a week to get a handle on whether we have a significant problem, with any or no mutations in this country. We won’t know severity or the speed of spread, number of cases for about 7-10 days. Pubtards are lookin’ good cutting the pandemic flu budget in the stim package about now. You have to wonder though in all fairness what substantive would have been done with it by now.

So we face a threat with a vaccine about 18 months away, and people stupidly running out to get scripts for Tamiflu and Relenza and the only winners are Roche and GSK. Resistance figures for Tamiflu in the lit are fluctuating wildly from 12.5% to 100%, and those for Relenza will rise.

Don’t take it if you aren’t sick or someone in your family hasn’t been Dx’d.
