I read the article in which Mr. Shook's comments appear, and it's fairly obvious that you did not. As I understand it, the City of Atlanta will have a budget deficit of $60 million if the don't reduce fire and police service and a $48 million deficit if they do. The solution will not be easy. Mr Shook's comments reflect such an irresponsible attitude towards government that he should be defeated no matter how many of his personae run. Your comments are no better. You conservatives have proven incontestably that government is not the problem, rather conservatives trying to run government is the problem. Although conservativism might titillate the emotional needs of various constituencies, I think the debacle in the state legislature and your comments prove irrefutably that conservatives should not be entrusted with something so precious as government.
