UPDATE: We have selected a winner by random drawing and the winner has been notified. Thanks all for entering! We’ll do another giveaway soon. Happy holidays everyone!
Mary Kay Andrews’ short story “Fatal Fruitcake” has been re-released this holiday season to raise money for relief efforts following Superstorm Sandy.
Andrews originally penned the piece in 1997, writing as Kathy Hogan Trocheck, and decided to bring it out again after many of her publishing friends were affected by the storm.
We have a copy of the signed, limited edition item, complete with a jazzy cover and a dee-licious fruitcake recipe in the back.
Want it? Simply leave a comment below. We’ll draw one lucky winner at random. Good luck!
(By the way Mary Kay also is giving away a signed copy of “Blue Christmas” via her Facebook page. Click here for details.)

My son Daniel and I met MKA at her book-signing at Nags Head last year…He was evacuated from his NYU dorm during Sandy & after food became scarce, he called us to come home. The only airline ticket I could find was $1200. Needless to say, my husband left NC at 4:30 pm & got back from his NYC son-rescue mission at 8am the next day, driving all night. I have read EVERY one of MKA’s books & am on the waiting list for this one. PLEASE DRAW ME!!!…please? Thanks!

There is not a book that you have written, that I have not absolutely LOVED!!!!! I would love to add this to my special collection! Keep them coming…I read them every night, and when I don’t have any more to read, I re-read them, and I enjoy them just as much the second time around. I guess I am happily hooked on your books!!!!

One of the few that actually likes fruitcake. My Mom made an old fashioned cake named Japanese fruit cake that was the rage of the church circles in the 60’s. I have read every book wriiten by Mary K., she always provide me with great entertainment and laughter.
