Atlanta Falcons player Roddy White is teaming up with Boost Mobile to serve lunch for free from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday out of the Sweet Auburn BBQ truck at Atlanta’s Food Truck Park, 1850 Howell Mill Road (Howell Mill at I-75).

For every resident who shows up for the event, Boost Mobile will donate a meal to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Boost Mobile also will make a donation in the amount of $8,400 to White’s Keep the Faith Foundation in his honor. (White’s jersey number is 84, get it?) The gift will aid the foundation’s Rockstar Program, which provides scholarships.

The event features giveaways of phones and autographed footballs, too. See you there!

Hungry People Exist

Why not do this somewhere people could really benefit from free food? Stunts like this tire me. Plus Boost Mobile’s demographic isn’t the Howell Mill food truck crowd. Seems like a poorly planned event all around.

For every resident who showed up for the event, Boost Mobile will donated a meal to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. So people who really could benefit were taken care of too. Roddy White was there for fans and on apart of his foundation helping youth. Also not sure what the Boost Mobile demographic has to do with not having an event on Howell Mill seeing they have a store less than a mile from the AFTP where the event was held. No contract, low monthly bill, nice devices? Sounds like a smart demographic…
