Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina cited after car wreck; boyfriend arrested on speeding charge

AP

AP

Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina was cited Wednesday after a traffic accident, the Alpharetta Police Department said. She was not hurt.

“At 11:46 a.m., the Alpharetta 911 center received a telephone call from a passerby who advised us a black Camaro had left a roadway and had traveled down an embankment,” George Gordon, executive officer and public information officer with the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said in an email. “Our police officers assigned to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety arrived on scene and discovered a black Camaro with moderate damage. The investigation revealed the driver lost control and the vehicle left Beaver Creek Road on the east side and traveled down an embankment.”

The car hit a number of small trees before stopping.

“Upon the initial arrival, our officers found the driver Bobbi Kristina Brown on scene standing beside the vehicle,” Gordon’s email continued. “She was uninjured.”

Krissy, as she is known in the new Lifetime reality show about her family, received a traffic ticket; the offense was “failure to maintain lane.”

“No drugs or alcohol are believed to be factors,” Gordon concluded.

Meanwhile Bobbi Ki’s boyfriend Nick Gordon was arrested Wednesday night after cops clocked him doing 82 in a 35 mph zone in Alpharetta, TMZ reported. We’re working on getting more details.

It’s not the first time Bobbi Kristina and the Alpharetta Police Department have crossed paths. In September authorities responded to a noise complaint and discovered a banged-up Camaro in the parking garage. That time, cops left without taking action.

No word on whether the episode will provide fodder for a future episode of “Houstons: On Our Own,” the show featuring family members of the late Houston. The two episodes last week averaged about 690,000 viewers.

This is sad! I remember when Whitney continued to go down her spiral path.I watched in disbelief Whitney and Bobbie on television. As a fan, I wanted to write her and pray for her to go and stay at a rehab facility because, I could see her life ending tragically. I felt like the letter would never reach her. I’m sure her Mother most likely wanted the same for her daughter as well. I watched the new show and Bobbi Kristina is unfortunately on a path of self destruction. She is in pain, a pain that needs counseling. Too loose her Mother, to hear the rumor mills about her mother while she was alive and even after her death must be devastating. I understand her reasoning of not attending the multitude of tributes to Whitney. Many put her down while being with Bobby Brown vs. reaching out to her to help. Bobbi Kristina as a child, and now a young adult has to figure out life without her best friend, her mom. Her looks, her gap, her image is not her primary concern. Her behavior is of an addict in pain on another path of destruction. I wish, I pray that the aunt and grandmother would place her in counseling and a treatment facility before she destroys her life with yet another tragic death. No amount of money can heal the hurt she so deeply still feels. I wish I could talk to her, and show her that life is worth so much more. She can’t change the past; but she can surely secure a brighter future for herself.

Geez. I’m so tired of everyone suggesting that B.K. get her gap fixed. It’s HER freggin’ mouth, first of all. And just because YOU think it’s ugly doesn’t matter to anyone. What’s funny is that most people writing that over and over on all the discussion boards probably have jacked up TEEF. Would you tell T.D. Jakes to go fix HIS gap? Or Michael Strahan, etc., etc.?
Dang, if anything wish the girl well. You don’t walk in her shoes, losers.

I agree she’s on a collision course with her life. I think it is TRAGIC that the very same people–think her SIL and ‘manager’ PAT!!!–who watched Whitney drink and drug on the last day of her life are the very same people now doing this show with Kristina under the guise of watching over her.

This child needs to be AWAY from the cameras all together. Oprah, Tyler Perry and Pat Houston and all of them…stop using this girl for your own benefit/ratings/money. Get this girl in rehab and away from the cameras.

I have learned to not get upset with these stories because how many times do you have to see even your mother lose her career (voice!!) and die from (kill herself with) drugs, etc., before you get the message? I say shame on Pat Houston, & the brother (Pat’s hubby).

The handwriting is on the wall; it’s likely just a matter of time before BK goes the same route of Whitney. A train wreck in progress, right here on the streets of Alpharetta.

As the saying goes, “If you don’t have anything nice to say about someone, don’t say anything at all.” I didn’t know we were all “PERFECT.” Leave the poor kid alone – you haven’t walked in her shoes, and it’s obvious you don’t care about her so why the judging?!!!

This child lost the best friend she had…..her mother. I know her aunts, uncles, godmother, cousins and friends are there but a mother’s love is so special. I know because I lost my mother when I was young. I was blessed to have a loving father, brothers and sisters and the pain still was heavy laden. This young child don’t have that luxury. Pray for her and try to put yourself in her place if you can. It’s not easy. And remember nobody can help how they look…..really she is a physically beautiful young lady. A gap in her teeth, come on now people.

Thank goodness she crashed into some trees and not some human beings. When stupid accidents like this happen, do the police check the cell phone to see when they last sent a text? If not, why not? I think that if the accident was caused by TWD the insurance company shouldn’t have to pay a claim.

It’s sad that she is unable to get her ife under control. Aunt Patricia is a joke. Are they living off the estate of Whitney? The whole motley crew went to Hawaii and it was for nothing. The wind blew and they all said it was Whitney. Trying to justify the trip?

Bobbi needs to pull it together and go to school. They all seem to be waiting for her 21th birthday!

She is just floating through life with no direction. Good Luck!

That girl really needs some help. It seems as if her family wants to help but she is not hearing it. You can’t help those that don’t want it. On the show she constantly looks high or drunk, I pray she does something to better herself before she gets all that inheritance cause that money will go right down the drain.

Only a matter of time for this young woman to follow in her mom’s footsteps. I have no sympathy as she is a product of her environment but could change all that if she wanted. I watched 1 or 2 episodes of that trainwreck show “being bobby brown”. What a disgusting example of a mother and father.

Yes, leave this poor girl alone. How old is she, anyway? Not to condone what seems like a life going the wrong way. But these things happen to kids, especially spoiled rich ones, with no guiding force in their lives…

Had a fight with her boyfriend and then went out and down an embankment. Did anyone stop to think maybe this was a) either calling out for attention or b) trying to commit suicide?

People make comments regarding how her gap is and what her family is doing to try help her. People pray for this girl. she is going through something terrible. If you have not walked in her shoes do not make any negative comments. Losing a parent is hurting thing and if you have not lost a parent do not make a comment. Lift Krissy up in prayer and try to be positive because she needs prayers. She does need a positive role model in her life and guidance.

I don’t need to be praying for BK. Her parents should have done a better job as role models and raising her. Grandparents should have stepped in too! Why does anyone give a rats behind about her and why is she NEWS???? I pray for all my loved ones and people closest to me. We raised 2 beautiful, spiritual, faithful, loving, honest, college educated children. And we did it all with a helluva lot less money than Whitney and Bobby. That child grew up with parents who were stoned out of their minds most of the time, parent mugshots plastered on TV, court room antics, and jail. Whitney and Bobby were nothing but ghetto.

Hey, DC Jennifer, don’t tell me what to say or do. This is an expression board. If you don’t like it, don’t read it; go back to DC where it’s safe.
If you act like a fool, you’ll be criticized. Either, A) to avoid criticism, change your behavior, or B) don’t change, then live with the criticism, because your behavior invites it.
If you don’t like those two choices, guess what? There’s no other alternative. No one’s going to lay down at your feet just because that’s what you want. Life is full of critics, esp a lot of hypocrites and whiners on this board. Grow up, deal with life. If you’re not ready for prime time, go live in a convent…

It’s really frustrating that even after hearing Bobbi Kristina was in a car accident, people still have the nerve to point out insignificant things. I know she was uninjured but come on. Why is her appearance your main concern after reading this article? I mean really, who cares if she has her hair in her face. It’s called a bang. A lot of girls have them. I have a part of my hair in my face and I’m only two years younger than Bobbi Kris. It’s the way I like to wear my hair. It’s how a lot of young girls like to wear their hair. Adult women choose hair styles that involve having bangs in their faces. And I’m so tired of people talking about her gap. Who the hell are you to say what she “needs” to do? If she wanted to have the space in between her teeth closed, she can. It’s not like she doesn’t have the money to do so. She could have gotten it closed years ago if she wanted to, but she didn’t, and whose business is that but hers? This girl lost her mom, and all you can do is concentrate on her appearance. Beauty is based on character, and Bobbi Kristina is beautiful. You, for trying to bring someone else down and focus on flaws that to me, she doesn’t even have. should try and work on your character. I’m so glad Bobbi Kristina is okay. And I’m going to continue to pray for her. Not because I feel she’s on a path to self-destruction, but for God to give her strength to keep being strong. It’s so easy for the media to judge, saying she’s going down the same path her parents went down, but think about what she’s been through. She watched her mom struggle, she listened to the media constantly belittle both her mother and her father for years, she dealt with their divorce. Now she has lost her mom, her best friend, at nineteen, she listens to the media still belittling her mom even after her passing, she’s hearing a number of reports about her father, so many family members are trying to help her which is probably overwhelming, and now the media has her under a microscope, just waiting for her to slip up somehow so they can make money at her expense. With all of that, she has still stayed so strong, and I can only imagine how hard it must be. I know people have a lot to say about her drinking but sh*t, if I had to deal with the crap she deals with everyday, I’d want a f*cking drink too! I don’t worry very much about her going down a path of self-destruction because I know her family is behind her. I just get so afraid that one day she’ll collapse under the pressure, so I pray for God to keep this girl’s head up. If I could say one thing to Bobbi Kris right now, I’d say that I’m so proud of her and I’d tell her to keep fighting. It might mean nothing coming from me, but it’s one thing I’d love to say to her if I had the chance.

I know I commented before, but I was too busy ranting on the ignorance of the other individuals that commented. So anywho, I highly doubt Bobbi Kristina’s choice of hairstyle has anything to do with her getting into a car wreck. I think she just needs a few more driving lessons, lol. I’m so happy she’s uninjured and I hope the media doesn’t linger on this incident for too long so she can continue to move forward and build a future for herself.

I feel so bad for this young lady, she has a lot to live thru and live out. No she doesn’t have the best of people in her corner for support and direction. She is at the age where she is a semi-adult, she can’t be treated like a child. But she is a child, she has seen what adults do that are acting out in there addictions. She has got to mature past that and do what is right for her to have a healthy good life as her Mother wanted for her to have in a sober mind. Her brother boyfriend what ever in my opinion needs to go home to his mother/father family. he is not the best person to be in her life on a day to day. He clearly immature and not connected in the right way,,Bk needs structure, love with out motive and patience and the right amount of space to grow and grieve properly. Her money should not be a issue to those who clearly have no real interest in her for real..Her Grandmother has gotten older and she has a different twist on young adults. She is loving don;t get me wrong, but its not what she needs right now all by itself..she is part of the fix just not the total fix. Her Dad is not healthy and ready for the task..All though if he was he would be a great comfort for her. She has siblings but for some reason they are not bonded right either…my heart goes out to her..and lets keep her in our prayers, she needs God’s Grace n Mercy.
