John Travolta sat down with Extra for an exclusive one-on-one interview billed as “candid and revealing.” It candidly reveals what a super guy he is and how much people love him.

“Anytime someone wants to acknowledge or celebrate me, I have no problem with that!” Travolta told Extra’s AJ Calloway at the Maryland Film Festival, where the actor received a lifetime achievement award.

He went on to reflect on his career’s “many golden experiences” and the two discussed how much Travolta is loved by both his former “Look Who’s Talking” co-star Kirstie Alley and his wife Kelly Preston. To reinforce how much his wife loves him, Preston appears on camera for a few moments for a smooch. Cute.

“You are one of the most romantic men on the planet,” the interviewer says, more statement than question. It’s true! Travolta took his wife to see Barbara Streisand for her birthday.

“On my birthday!” Preston shouts from off-camera to corroborate the romantic anecdote. Travolta added that he also took Preston to Paris with all her friends for a week-long celebration.

No mention of allegations that Travolta engaged in improper conduct with masseurs, as court documents claimed earlier this year. After an initial lawsuit was filed on behalf of a Beverly Hills plaintiff, but then fizzled, a second lawsuit was filed on behalf of an Atlanta plaintiff. (Travolta was here earlier this year filming “Killing Season” with Robert De Niro). The multiple lawsuits eventually were dismissed but not before things devolved into a lawyer-versus-lawyer spat.

“Notwithstanding inane tabloid fodder, two individuals who sued Mr. Travolta voluntarily dismissed their cases,” an attorney representing Travolta told CNN at the time. “Anyone else who thinks about suing Mr. Travolta should expect a similar result.”
