T.I. adds “NBA commentator” to his list of accomplishments tonight, joining SportSouth commentator Bob Rathbun and former Atlanta Hawk Duane Ferrell as contributing sports analyst during tonight’s game at Philips Arena against the Miami Heat .
The rapper and actor now starring in the VH1 reality show “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle,” and the Starz political comedy “Boss,” will chime in during SportSouth’s coveraage during the first two quarters of the game, airing at 7:30 p.m.

ha! I hear ya Hawks Fan– I don’t think I’ve ever in my life worn a hat that wasn’t braves, hawks, falcons, or yellow jackets…. but thats how it is these days. Hats are to match the outfits (and Tip and I are the same age.lol).
With that said- no— it won’t be awkward.Bob is a pro, and Tip is very well spoken, knows how to throw humor into the mix- and is great at commanding attention when speaking. Also- speaking as someone who’s met him- a down to earth guy who showed no signs of ego.
