The only real way to solve the ASO’s financial problems is to increase attendance. As someone who occasionally attends a concert it seems like the cost of tickets has gone through the roof. Also, the cost of parking at the Arts Center and even occasional limited access is an issue. Maybe it is time to accept the fact that Atlanta may not be able to support a world class orchestra and conductor and their over the top salaries. If we replace the performers with those one level down and use the saving to reduce cost would this untimely increase attendance? Maybe.

Veruca, you’re poorly informed. Phish’s fan base is not only predominately children of wealth and privilege, but are usually very creative and intelligent folk. Can’t fight the the seether!

I know the symphony is a good cause and all, but if Trey “left behind” a guitar, shouldn’t we just return it to him?
