The Jason Bateman-Melissa McCarthy comedy “Identity Thief” was filmed partly in Atlanta. In the newly released trailer you can spot Atlanta’s skyline, the 191 Building downtown and parts of Midtown. (Cafe Intermezzo, holla!)
The movie, which comes out next year, is about a man and a woman with the same name. She steals his identity to buy a bunch of stuff. He tracks her down. She beats him up. Hilarious!

I worked with jason bateman and melissa mccarthy when they were here. We ended up dining at a lot of atlanta hotspots after filming wrapped each day.
