“Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Kim Zolciak stopped by the B 98.5 FM studio this morning along with hubby Kroy Biermann and their new baby, Kash.
The little guy is 6 weeks old and his brother KJ is 15 months old. Kim has two daughters too. Morning Show host Vikki Locke asked her, “are you done (having children)?”
Kroy joked that they’re almost ready to field their own football team.
“We’re halfway there,” he said as he fed cute little Kash his bottle.
“You never know, I’m very blessed,” Kim added. “Two boys and two girls, it doesn’t get any better than that. Who knows, there might be one more.”
Kim says she will indeed star on the next season of “Housewives,” but despite Vikki’s best efforts she couldn’t seem to get Kim to comment on whether she’ll star in her own spin-off show on Bravo. (The special on Kim and Kroy’s wedding was a big hit).
Vikki asked if the blessed event did indeed cost $1 million.
“Our wedding was definitely very expensive,” Kim said. “It was a great day.”
She didn’t comment on tension involving her mom.
“There’s a lot of my life that I share publicly. This is part that I want to keep to myself,” Kim said. “She’s my mom and she’ll always be my mom. You only get one.”
So, is it true that she and fellow cast member NeNe Leakes aren’t exactly BFFs? Kim was happy to answer that question.
“We don’t speak and we are not friends,” she said. “I wish NeNe well. We’ve been through a lot on ‘Housewives.’ She’s doing well.”
Kim also was happy to help Vikki deal with a “Relationship Rehab,” the feature on the show where callers discuss various dilemma. This morning’s conflict involved a woman who wanted to buy her kid a pair of $1,500 shoes for earning all As on her report card. The lady’s husband disagreed with that plan – and so did Kim.
“Not in my house,” said Kim, who noted that her older daughter wants a set of wheels. “Brielle’s 15. She wants a car so bad. She’s dreaming. I had to work. I got a job at 15 years old at Subway. I think that made me what I am today.”
(By the way, Kroy worked at a Subway too, back in the day. They were just meant to be!)
And finally, reality shows collide – Kim likes watching “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” the TLC hit about precocious 7-year-old beauty pageant star Alana Thompson and her family.
“I do enjoy watching it,” Kim said. “The family laughs. It’s just funny.”
Kroy rocked and fed the baby during most of the visit. Kim says he has a magic touch with kids – he snuggles them and they conk out on contact.
When he has appeared on “Housewives” he’s usually depicted as a bit more reticent than the outgoing main characters.
“It’s been fun,” he said. “We do what we do. We’ve got a lot going on and they just happen to capture some of it.”
