Evander Holyfield at the Georgia Aquarium

Evander Holyfield took a family visit to the Georgia Aquarium the other day.

Here’s a nice photo of the champ and two of his kids near the Ocean Voyager area, home to the whale sharks, during a behind-the-scenes tour.

“Thank you to the Georgia Aquarium staff!” Holyfield tweeted afterward. “My kids had a great time, we will be back again.”

It’s been an up and down year for Holyfield. Not long after he was evicted from his 109-room mansion in Fayette County due to financial problems, he announced a huge auction of boxing memorabilia and other stuff. Then NBC interviewed him during the 2012 London Olympics as just another man-on-the-street, having failed to recognize him.

But his Twitter feed is always full of uplifting, positive messages like, “I had a lot of setbacks in my career but I always had a good attitude which gave me another chance to try,” and “A good attitude is better than talent.”

He likes to post photos, too, including this one of him with the Rev. Jesse Jackson and former President George W. Bush.

“We are all on journeys, learning and growing,” Holyfield posted. “So take the good with the bad because life is good.”

Now that this visit is over, will he pay his overdue child support?

Now, those are two beautiful children! It looks like they are truly having a great time at one of Atlanta’s best diversions.

I always thought he was a nice guy. I loved it when he beat Tyson.

His tweet thingy said he “will be back again”. Let’s see, since he has like 32 children with about 20 different women, that means he will be back again….15 more times if he takes two per visit (since these two have already been)! See, that was easy.

Evander…I hope you’re reading this.

You need to write a book on how you gained and lost your wealth.
You can be a role model to all of the other young athletes. The book could teach them how to get and keep their money honey.
An autobiography would not hurt and of course you could sell the rights to Spike Lee. How could play you baby???????????
Think about it….hey it could be a best seller and possibly get you some much needed cash…

HOLYFIELD WAS NOT EVICTED AT ALL.

—————————-

From a 7/15/2012 article:

Evander Holyfield thought this day might come. He had gotten foreclosure notices before and the property, his 54,000-square-foot mansion, had been auctioned to JPMorgan Chase in March.
But he figured he’d somehow pull it off and be able to stay there, just like he overcame doubters four times to regain his title as Heavyweight Champion of the World. The 109-room edifice was the embodiment of a fantasy come true for a once-poor Atlanta youth who earned $250 million in a storied career.
At 9 a.m. Tuesday, reality — in the form of a Fayette County deputy — knocked on the door. “Mr. Holyfield, you have 15 minutes to leave the property.”
Soon, he was driving toward the gate of the 235-acre compound for the last time. Evander Holyfield had been evicted.”

Jennifer vs. Latrice, I can get you a good cut on the payperview rights, a lot better than evander ever got. Evander paid the price for not protecting himself in more ways than one, if you know what I mean. I needs to teach young athletes that a good defense is your best offense.

Once again you talk about the GA Aquarium like it’s the only place to go in Atlanta! Shame on you for promoting that dolphin and whale prison and exploiting Mr. Holyfield and his kids….once they know the truth about the GA Aquarium, and I’ll make sure they do, they won’t be back!
