Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are in Atlanta filming “The Internship.” The comedy is about two guys who start over at the bottom of the corporate ladder when they’re downsized.
Wilson was at the restaurant No. 246 in Decatur Sunday night with some friends, according to numerous tipsters. No. 246 has other Hollywood cred, by the way. Earlier this year the movie “A.C.O.D.” (Adult Children of Divorce) filmed some scenes there. Details about that project here.
Wilson’s also stopped by Ecco, and Lure and Antico – where he dashed off an impromptu restaurant review on a pizza peel. See it here. Vaughn’s been spotted at the Buckhead Whole Foods.
“The Internship” filmed in Kirkwood and Midtown last week. Here’s a photo Nick Tapp sent us from the Midtown set. (His girlfriend, Kasey Brinson, took the picture). That’s Vaughn on the right.
We’ll post more details about what the movie’s up to this week soon. Stay tuned!

I’m not impressed in their eating choices. They seem like a bunch of twits who know nothing about fine dining.

Get a grip golf dude. So what if their dining choices don’t meet your standards. My favorite restaurant happens to be Nathan’ hot dogs – got a problem with that?

My son works at Smith’s Old Time Bar on Piedmont and was making his way behind the bar Saturday night when he had to tap a guy on the shoulder to pass by. Turned out to be Owen Wilson and my son said he shook his hand and was just an all around nice guy

Since when does one’s restaurant choice make them a twit? I fail to understand why some people harbor so much ill will towards people they’ve never even met and moreover… see fit to post it on a blog. Movie stars enjoy pizza and hot dogs, and probably fine dining as well, as much as the next guy.

Owen was at The Whiskey Gentry show at Smith’s Olde Bar on Saturday night. Seemed like a super nice dude.

Owen passed in front of us on a bike yesterday as we waited for him to ride by at a stop sign on Piedmont. Of all things in my vehicle, why did I have a copy of “I Spy” and a Sharpie…only to remember them after he passed? Brain fart, table of one!

Cool – movie stars in town. I would like to meet them and chat a while with a cold beer. That would be an interesting conversation.

Is John McGinley (Dr. Cox from Scrubs) in town for any of these movies that are being filmed? I swear I saw him walking through Midtown last week…

They complimented the Kirkwood neighborhood and Bessie Brenham Park. The movie shot Friday was huge, closing down the entire park and some perimeter streets.

Are celebrity sightings on movie sets actually celebrity sightings? Is any of this stuff actually newsworthy?

Surprised there haven’t been any Clermont Lounge sightings. Vince and Owen probably got that out of their systems during The Watch and Hall Pass.

Maybe they are not so uppity that they HAVE to eat “fine dining” or nothing! LOL. Most people dont except those that think they are “special” and anything else is “beneath them” .. Ribs and great hamburgers is fine dining to many of us! Maybe they know the owners of some of the places and wanted to show them some love. Whatts up with one under through 9? The golfer seems kinda snobbish and elite…..hes 14 over in life lol
