Reese Witherspoon movie filming in Cartersville
We Methodists are welcoming people.
Reese Witherspoon’s movie “Devil’s Knot” will be filming at the old courthouse in downtown Cartersville for the next couple of weeks.
Friendly folks up there in Cartersville. My fellow Methodists evidently have invited Witherspoon and co-star Colin Firth to join them in worship this Sunday. Someone sent me this photo at the right.
“Devil’s Knot” is based on the true-crime book about a sensational murder case in West Memphis, Ark.
An on-set source says Witherspoon is very nice to work with and is keeping her cool despite being pregnant in this heat. The mom of two is expecting Baby #3.
By the way here’s an exciting update: Witherspoon just stopped for gas at an East Cobb Shell station.
“I was the only one around, then here comes Reese Witherspoon,” a tipster reports. “I recognized her immediately then did a brain check to remember that, yes, she’s in town filming. She hops out of the small silver SUV (it appeared that her daughter Ava was in the backseat), very pregnant wearing a blue top and white skirt, sandals, sunglasses, and her hair pulled up in a pony tail. I could tell it was her because of the expensive-looking highlights in her hair – had to be a star! She flashed me a smile then pumped gas. We were the only ones there and I could have talked to her but didn’t want to bother her. She seemed to be so happy to find a moment of anonymity.”
Another tipster saw her enjoying brunch at Empire State South on Sunday.

Smart of Sam Jones. Don’t know if you’re familiar with Cartersville Jennifer, but it is literally right next door to the old courthouse there. Many a Bartow County politician has called that particular church home over the years, largely due to its location (on the political side at least).

That was so very kind of your “Tipster” to just let Reese be with her child, doing what she needed to do. Nice to know there are some decent people out there in the world that have not lost their humanity over this celebrity craze that’s driven by the media. That smile that Reese gave her was enough….

Are u sure it was Reese because she doesnt go anywhere without her bodyguard. Down here in Morrowshe wasnt driving, she had a driver and was with her bodyguard. The vehicle she was in here in Morrow, wasnt a small silver suv. As strict as her bodyguard is I doubt she could go anywhere without him.

She’s filmed in the area before. If I recall correctly, parts of “Sweet Home Alabama” were shot around Atlanta and at Berry College in Rome.

Of course she was with her bodyguard in Morrow. That place is the ghetto. East Cobb is at the complete other end of the spectrum.

Sorry to bust ur bubble duh but the area she was filming in was not ghetto. And there were no ghetto people around. Its a nice quite neighborhood. If its so ghetto why did she film here? Btw really dont doubt she would be pumping her own gas even in east cobb. Im sure east cobb has crime too. It is in Ga.

i think this is soo cool i live here in cartersville and i was just over at the court house on thrusday and i think its so cool she is here. and so glad seh is having another lil one on the way i just had my lil one in April and she is a beautiful lil girl. and i am glad i had her when idid and am not pregannt in this heat i understand were you are coming from well hope everything goes well cant believe she is here and cant wait to see the movie

They are filming for about two weeks from the start date of filming. I live rite next door to the court house so I’ve been walking nextdoor and watching. Its very neat. Seen Reese twice.

I doubt she would go anywhere without her driver and bodyguard. seriously. much less pump her own gas in E. Cobb, or drive herself. she is super pregnant.
