“Ring of Fire” TV movie filming at the Tabernacle today

61K+EJrULbL._SL500_AA300_“Ring of Fire,” the television movie starring singer-songwriter Jewel as June Carter Cash, films at the Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta today.

It’ll be a scene set in the 1980s. Our source for this: Jewel.

“Wanna be in the June Carter Cash movie with me? You can be! Come to Tabernacle Theater in Atlanta Monday 12 p.m.,” she posted on her Twitter feed, adding, “must wear your early 80’s finest!”

The Lifetime movie is based on John Carter Cash’s book about his mother. It has filmed in a number of spots around metro Atlanta, including the historic theater in downtown Canton.

Wow you have really good sources. I thought most sources gave more than a 2 hour heads up. So your telling me you got 2 hours to get dressed in 80s and drive in Atl traffic to the Tabernacle. This should have been put up yesterday

Dude, get a life. The Carter Family was the first name in entertainment in this country for a good long time. Maybe you should stop hating and dig into heritage a little bit.

Lifetime, that's high quality

Hey Buzzed I think that may be Necessary Roughness. I know they are filming a sporty scene today. ID Theft is also filming but I think they’re south of Atlanta, in Hampton, this week. They were filming down there over the weekend.

I will find out for sure.

@ @ Variance – Right, because a Lifetime movie is “digging into heritage.” Get a life.

That must be with The Cult had such a short set last night. They basically pushed folks out the door as soon as the music stopped. Felt short changed after the show. Guess they had to clean up and set up for this garbage.

My sig other works on this set and they don;t give much notice because there isn’t much notice. They get reports of set changes and call times at like 12am sometimes so they can be to work at 4am. Its the movie biz. You arent required to put on your 80’s gear and go so stuff a sock in it if you can;t make it with that little notice.
