Justin Bieber launches Matt Lauer’s Twitter career

Matt Lauer was a late adopter to Twitter. His launch into the land of 140 characters began about an hour ago.
But thanks to his pal Justin Bieber the “Today” show host racked up more than 60,000 followers almost immediately, with scant effort.
“Hello. Everyone go buy Justin Bieber’s album #believe coming out June 19th,” was Lauer’s first tweet. That was followed with three more, all effusively praising the young pop star.
“Justin is a great sport! Concert will be amazing!” Lauer tweeted five minutes into his Twitter career. Lauer followed that up with a photo of him, Bieber and co-host Ann Curry, at the right.
Bieber, with a following of more than 23 million fans (or “Beliebers,” to use proper Twitter parlance), gave Lauer a tremendous social media boost by posting, “Everyone follow my man (Matt Lauer),” using the host’s brand new handle, @mlauer. The “Today” co-anchor’s fledgling account almost immediately received the coveted blue “Verified” check mark that Twitter confers on celebrities and other big shots.
Bieber is performing on “Today” today. If you missed it presumably Lauer will tweet full details later.

Justin Bieber is absolutely disgusting as a role model! He had to hold up his pants with his hand to keep them from falling down. The way he wears his clothes distracts from his obvious talent! The low riding pants with underwear showing and tucked into his shoes are usually signs of gang activity.
