I’d love to run it and beat my time from 2 years ago. The Peachtree RoadRace is so fun.

I was a runner in high school and recently reconnected with my love for the sport through Black Girls Run. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to improving my health, fitness and character through running. The level of challenge and achievement I experience through running is incomparable to any other sport I’m involved in. The thrill of running in the 2012 Peachtree Roadrace will propel my love of running and sense of accomplishment in a fun and exciting way. I hope to receive the opportunity!

I have run in many Peachtree’s with a few top 1000 runner finishes – this is THE most fullfilling race to run in – a true great American event on a great day in America.

AJC my mother and I usually run the peachtree every year, but we could not get in this year. she has had a heart aneurism for about four years now so it means a lot to her to stay active. It would be awesome if I could get these two numbers!

Last year I broke my leg, but when the cast came off I started back up running. Running the Peachtree would be a culmination of a long slog back to health. Thanks for the opportunity to win numbers.

Just started running 4 months ago and love it!!! I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to run the Peachtree. The freedom you feel running is the best feeling in the world. I would love to feel that kind of freedom on the 4th in Hot Atlanta!! Furthermore, the fellowship with other runners after the race is just as much fun as running the marathon itself. Running the Peachtree would be the best way for me to celebrate the 4th of July :)

I’ve always enjoyed running because it’s such a stress reliever and fun activity. Every year I miss out on the Peachtree Road Race, and every year I say next year is my time. This year I moved to Buckhead next to Chastain Park, and I run 2 laps around the 2.5 mile track every day. I enjoy running with my neighbors there and lately I’ve noticed more and more people training for the Peachtree Road Race. When I think of how easy the 5 miles per day has become for me, I sure wish I had a shot at the Road Race because if my neighbors can do it every year, I know I can too.

I’ve been living in Atlanta for 23 years and never had the opportunity to be a part of this great tradition. I can’t say I’m a Georgia Peach if I don’t have the T-shirt.

I would love to run Peachtree this year because it’s my first Fourth of July in Georgia! I know it’s a significant part of running culture in Atlanta and I would LOVE to be able to mark this as a “Done” in my Georgia running list!

Would love to run this year’s Peachtree as it’s become my personal tradition. Unfortunately, I was not selected in this year’s lottery. I have been doing afternoon runs in the heat (only after a full day of hydrating!) to prepare just in case I get a bib. Happy training to all the runners!

I’d love to get an entry for my son. Just graduated UGA and is headed to grad school in the fall. Just competed in his first triathlon and placed in his age group.

I have never ran the Peachtree Road race before and think now is the best time of my life to do so. Recently divorced, changing careers and my kids are leaving home. Running this race will be the start of a new beginning for me.

My girlfriend moved to Atlanta last August. She ran her first half-marathon in the fall, we’re doing the Marine Corps Marathon in October. This will be her first Peachtree Road Race as either a spectator or runner!

The race is on my birthday and I would love to start off this new year by participating in this coveted event! My fiance and I began walking/running about 6-8 months ago and this would culminate that training! We have friends walking in the race this year for the first time and one of them shares a birthday on that day as well… they’ll be turning 40 so this would also be a fantastic way to celebrate together.

This was a yearly tradition for my father who passed away from a stroke in 2005. I would like to continue to carry his legacy of running every year. Good luck to all the runners!

As an Atlanta native who has yet to participate in a Peachtree Road Race, I’ve been on a health kick and working out since last fall, and have lost quite a bit of weight, and wish to further challenge myself. I would like an opportunity to join this fine event – thank you!
