The Piedmont Driving Club, known for elegant events such as this past Atlanta Ballet Ball, apparently experienced some recent unpleasantness.

The Piedmont Driving Club, usually the scene of air-kissing luncheons and elegant charity galas, is dealing with allegations of unsavory drunken antics more in keeping with the comedy “Caddyshack.”

A letter from a club member sent to the club’s president and general manager and first obtained and posted by the Deadspin web site, complains in detail about uncharacteristically rowdy behavior at a recent golfing event.

“One member decided to play the 14th hole completely naked,” the letter said. “I have not researched it, but I suspect this is a crime in Georgia.”

Kim Kardashian’s people issued a statement from the ubiquitous reality show personality, evidently fearing an off-hand remark about a meal could be perceived as culturally insensitive.

“So on this week’s episode of ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians,’ I said that I thought Indian food was disgusting. In NO way was this intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste,” Kardashian said in the statement.

She went on to say, “There are a lot of foods I don’t like… I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture.”

Atlanta ranked #7 in Travel + Leisure’s list of “America’s Worst-Dressed People,” and the Real Housewives of Atlanta are to thank.

“If the flashy reality-TV stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are at all indicative of how the rest of Atlanta dresses, it’s no wonder our readers ranked it as America’s No. 7 least-stylish city,” the travel mag’s site sniffs. “Hotlanta has one of the highest per capita incomes of any southern city, but as the TV show illustrates and the saying goes: money can’t buy taste.”

Come on, five Housewives drag a whole city down? And while the ladies’ antics may be a bit extreme on occasion they usually manage to frock up pretty well in our opinion. Mary Kay Andrews cracked open an ice-cold Quixie and lit into a sizzling tale.

Seems this girl Annajane was so over her ex-husband Mason that she felt fine attending his wedding to Celia. But when the wedding was called off at the last – and I mean the last – second, Annajane wondered if maybe she wasn’t still soft on Mason.

Lawd, I had to press a Quixie can to my forehead to keep from swooning.

Alright, that didn’t exactly happen. Instead, Andrews tells us all about Annajane, Mason and Celia in her new book, “Spring Fever.” It takes place in the town of Passcoe, N.C., home of Quixie Cherry Soda (not to be confused with Salisbury, N.C., home of Cheerwine, of course).

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Phaedra Parks has filed a $30 million lawsuit against Vibe Holdings, which operates Vibe.com, Uptown Magazine, and Augustus Publishing, saying the outlet has published lies about her to generate interest in a book.

The lawsuit, filed this week, demands a jury trial, $5 million in compensatory and $25 million in punitive damages, and retractions.

“While Plaintiff recognizes the importance of the role of the media in reporting on public figures, Defendant and other members of the media are not granted an unfettered right or privilege under the First Amendment to defame public figures by publishing false and defamatory accusations with actual malice,” the lawsuit states. “As a result of its conduct, Defendant crossed the threshold from speech protected by the First Amendment to enter the arena of actionable defamation of a public figure for which they must be held legally accountable.”

NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” made the scene in Buckhead last night.

The invite-only party held at the Buckhead W was hosted by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, which presumably aims to lure Atlantans there.

The evening featured Miami-inspired appetizers, signature Bacardi cocktails, tunes by DJ Irie – and a photo booth. The “Housewives” stepped inside to show their love for the sunny city to our south.

No word on whether Bravo cameras were there to capture the magic.

The worst and biggest hair days of my life happened this week. Seriously, if your pet eagle goes missing, check the top of my head, OK?

So I about kissed the soles of reality show personality and salon owner Derek J’s red four-inch stilettos last night when he shared his top predictions for hairstyle trends this summer.

“Beach waves, choppy, messy,” he said. “People should go more toward simplicity. Effortless glam is what’s going on.”

Often seen on episodes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Derek J hosted a launch party for another reality show at his Pharr Road salonThursday night: “L.A. Hair,” which premieres on the WE channel at 10 p.m. May 31. The show will chronicle the travails of celebrity stylist Kim Kimble as she attempts to wrangle the tresses of her famous clients whilst dealing with the attendant drama.
