How’s this for strange bedfellows?
Jane Fonda, the sometimes Atlantan whom critics love to hate as “Hanoi Jane” for her Vietnam War era activism, will portray the wife of one of conservatives’ most revered figures: Nancy Reagan.
Fonda will play the former first lady in several scenes in the movie “The Butler,” reports Movie Talk, citing several industry sources.
“The historical drama is based on a story written in the Washington Post about a White House servant, Eugene Allen, who served eight presidents in the White House from Harry Truman through Ronald Reagan -— meaning plenty of chances for cameos from A-list actors,” the report says.
Fonda was in Atlanta in January and posted some photos and comments about the trip on her blog:
“I’m here for various events on behalf of my non-profit, The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention, and to see my daughter and grandkids. It’s been rainy and cold but still, as always, Atlanta is a warm and friendly place and I love being back and seeing so many friends and colleagues.”

I would never watch anything with Nancy Reagan in it, but Jane Fonda playing her, would make me change my mind.

I was just in Ha Noi. Beautiful city. Fantastic food. The people are short, though very friendly.

So Nancy Reagan is now Jesus! to that I say Jesus Christ are you nuts! She was a manipulative, controlling beeatch who kept her Alzheimer’s ridden husband in office by covering up his senility and running the country herself (pretty poorly I might add).
Jane Fonda is far to attractive to play this lollypop head hag!

“I would think that if you understood what communism was, that you would hope, you would prat on your knees that we would some day becvome communist.” Jane Fonda 1970
Two years later she says what a beautiful place and government Noth Vietnam has. Sits in an anti-aircraft gun with NVA blouse and pants.
Goes on TV to apologize and says she was sorry for allowing that picture to be taken. HUH. she never said she was sorry for sitting in that gun used to shoot at US heros only that her picture was taken.

I dont understand why they would choose her. Only to hurt others because there is no way they dont know that will anger and hurt people. As I read the comments I am appalled at people who think she did the right thing. No matter what we are against why would we hurt our boys and girls that are in harms way and serving OUR country. Protests would be fine but to take sides with the enemy while our children are there dying is unforgivable. I refuse to watch anything she makes and I will not see this trash.
