Kim Kardashian and “Real Housewife” NeNe Leakes together in Midtown

Kim Kardashian and NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” hit the town together Wednesday night.
The two reality stars had dinner at STK, a swank new steakhouse in Midtown. As you’d expect both were dressed to impress. NeNe was rocking her short blond ‘do and wore a black leather jacket and distressed jeans while Kim wore her tresses long and was sporting a pair of black Christian Louboutins.
Kim’s here to film a guest role on “Drop Dead Diva,” the Lifetime show filmed in Peachtree City. Far as we know the two were just out having dinner, sans Bravo or E! cameras, although “Kim and NeNe Take Atlanta” does have a nice ring to it.
We’re told the ladies arrived without entourages and had a pretty low-key evening. They posed for this photo below with Joey Crawford, Atlanta radio sales marketing manager for Cox Media Group. He happened to be there with some colleagues when the two reality stars appeared.

NeNe has been expanding her repertoire, appearing not only on the “Housewives” but “Celebrity Apprentice,” and she filmed a guest role on “Glee.” Kim has her fashion line and a slew of reality show spin-offs (including one featuring her wedding, prior to a marriage that lasted 72 days). So maybe the ladies were swapping notes on cultivating ubiquity.
“Just wrapped my first day on set in Atlanta shooting ‘Drop Dead Diva!’ Getting ready for dinner with my favorite housewife,” Kim tweeted Wednesday evening. NeNe responded, “On my way.”
Later the two swapped nice messages about their outing.
“At dinner with my favorite Dash Doll Kim Kardashian; she is so sweet,” NeNe tweeted around 11:30 p.m.
“I’m still laughing out loud! Too much fun!” Kim responded.

I will give Leakes credit for milking her upstart “career” for all it worth the last few months. Sooner or later this one trick pony will fade into much welcomed oblivion. It’s been a long 15 minutes of fame.
As for Kardashian, making a mockery of the institution of marriage for camera face time is just wrong.

It’s really kind of weird and tacky to list what such D-list celebs ordered for dinner. Show that Atlanta isn’t some yokel desperately star-strucked city. It’s okay to state that the D-listers were at STK. But listing what they ordered was far too much and quite silly.

Enough of both of these two hens already. I will not watch any show that has Kim Kardashians in it. I used to watch Drop Dead Diva but I will miss the show that has that no talent woman in it.

Why must you continue to give exposure to one with zero values and the mind of a doorknob? Have you thought for a moment what this says about you? Are you infatuated with Kim Kardashian? Must be, that’s two straight articles with her name in it.
Maybe you could spend more or your time (our time) on men or women of talent, values and high moral character…not just fame. For me, there’s nothing interesting or in any way intriguing about a women and her family that are a bunch of kooks and willing to crawl in the bed with just about anything male. Doe this appeal to you, Jennifer?

I am not infatuated with Kim Kardashian. I am, on the other hand, pretty keen on remaining employed as I have noticed that GMAC loves it when I pay the mortgage and Marietta Power swoons when I pay the light bill. Writing about celebs, in other words, is my job.

To all the idiots who constantly criticize Jennifer Brett, please get a life. For the millionth time, this is an entertainment blog. It would be strange to write about DeKalb County’s budget, Republican Primary, etc. in this section of the newspaper. And as a former newspaper reporter myself, I’m sure Brett has probably cut her teeth in the newsroom and does not miss the daily grind of tracking down contacts, covering breaking news, etc. Covering entertainment and celebrity news for one of the major daily newspaper in the country?
