Tyler Perry needs extras for yet another Madea movie

madea_gun2Tyler Perry has another Madea movie in the works and is seeking extras.

The project, “Madea’s Witness Protection,” will be filming here through March. They need folks of all looks, all races, both men and women. You do need to be 18 or older.

The casting folks are also looking for people with professional work attire and flexible work schedules. The pay is $8 per hour for a guarantee of eight hours for extras if you are booked, or $120 for 12 hours for stand-ins who are booked.

They advise you need to be available for a 12 to 14-hour day, and note that “set etiquette” is a must. In other words do not think Tyler Perry is going to be posing with you for photos that you can post on your Facebook page. Quite the opposite. You’ll be asked to sign all sorts of confidentiality paperwork.

Mr.Perry is really contributing to his own “PURSE”! There are PLENTY of $8 an hour jobs out there. Seems no one will work for that because it is demeaning and beneath them. But Mr. Perry throws it out there and he is a saviour to the peoples? Of course, being an extra involves just basically doing what most are doing every day anyway. Nothing!

I am not big into TP Madea’s movies, but I love his Diary of a Mad Black Women, Why Did I Get Married, Family that Preys Together, etc. he shows that he is a multi-talented Producer. He can be silly and/or serious. Good for you TP!! He can make all the Madea movies he wants, I’m not paying for them & he’s not hurting me. GO TP!! I don’t care what Spike Lee or anyone else says, TP is raking in the $$$$!

And yes, there are numerous people that WOULD work for $8 an hour if they could find one, so why don’t you tell us where they are, since you are such an authority? I would enjoy the opportunity to become an extra in a Tyler Perry production. I’ve worked as an extra in “ATL,” with T.I. and I worked on the film, “The Fighting Temptations,” with Beyonce and Cuba Goodings, Jr. I just need the chance to work and earn some money. I’m all in!

How this guy makes money is amazing. His films suck. His TV shows suck. And he is not funny by any means at all. If it were not for the laugh tracks…one wouldn’t even know it was intended to be funny…much less, the fact that the shows and movies simply suck (to reiterate the obvious).

Someone once said to me he(Tyler) wanted to wear a dress. I cannot recall if the Medea movies were a tribute to his grandmother or mother. It is a doggone shame at this point in time that Tyler cannot find one black female actress who could take on the characteristics of Madea. I got Diary of a Mad Black Woman and another on VHS. I can’t bear to look at them anymore. They were and still funny but it can get tedious explaining to young black boys why this grown man dresses up in women’s clothes. Flip Wilson had other characters besides Geraldine, Jamie Foxx has other characters beyond Wanda the ugly woman. As for Martin Lawrence…the jury’s still out.
