Twilight: Breaking Dawn sneak peek

The Twilight cast visited Ellen DeGeneres

The Twilight cast visited Ellen DeGeneres

We saw an advance screening of “Twilight: Breaking Dawn, part 1″ last night. B 98.5 FM Morning Show members Vikki Locke, Kelly Stevens and Jessica Forkel were on hand to get the crowd revved up with trivia contest and giveaways.

Not that the crowd needed much revving up. The theater at Regal Atlanta Station was packed to the gills with diehard Twi-hards.

So, the movie. We don’t want to give away details, since the movie hasn’t officially opened yet. Suffice it to say the movie, which will come as no surprise to fans of the books and series, is much gorier than others. Childbirth is usually a messy affair. The birth of a half-human, half-vampire is off-the-charts messy!

Given the many grim moments you know are coming, there are many bits of humor early on, including many quips that only insiders will get. We attended with a friend who has devoured each of the books numerous times and she had to clue us in at times. She rated this movie far better than the others, because it hews very closely to the books. It sounds like readers will be rewarded for their knowledge of details that someone who has only seen the movies wouldn’t have.

OK we don’t want to ruin it for you, so we’ll close with some quotes from Robert Pattinson discussing the love scenes with Kristen Stewart on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Ellen: How was that scene to shoot? Was that awkward? Was it like, you are so used to being around the crew and everybody that it’s not that big of a deal?

Rob: The baby delivery or the baby making?

Ellen: The baby making.

Rob: There was a bit too much butt crack I think. That was one thing I know they cut out. They didn’t cut the shot or what ever they just cut the crack out.

Ellen: How do you cut the crack out?

Rob: They just painted over it.

So, that’s something to watch for. Are you looking forward to this latest Twilight? Team Edward or Team Jacob?

Astrid, how can you say the movie was slow?? I loved how the movie’s plot point kept building and the anticipation escalating!! You arent a true twilight fan so dont waste your time going to part 2, leave that seat open for someone who actually cares about the story line!! Team Jasper Rocks!!!!!!!!

Im not a “twi-hard” (the girlfriend is) but I actually enjoyed this movie. I had to sit through the first three movies with my lady to get caught up before going last night this movie was intense but really good. My woman is a huge Vikki and Kelly fan so she had a really good time last night. Only problem now is she is planning “our” wedding around the same theme as Bella and Edwards. Thanks Vikki for putting the idea of the wedding dress in her head HAHAHA

Something about a fake baby, as a result of fake sex after a fake marriage between two people living in a fake world reminds me of the Kardashians.

Hate to break it to you Sucky but ALL reality shows are F-A-K-E………..doesnt mean you cant enjoy a good movie, no matter fact or fiction. At least these movies have a plot line, intelligent characters and true emotion. Cant say the same for those Kardashians or any other reality show!!

Agreed Allie, ALL movies are about fake marriages in fake worlds, and fake kids, but you can enjoy the movies anyway. TEAM EDWARD!!!!!

I am so tired of reading these so-called “critics’ ” horrible and nasty reviews! It’s funny, because it seems very apparent that NONE of the critics who have written negative reviews have actually READ any of the books! The details and storyline they’ve written about sound EXACTLY like how the books are written, and one thing each of these movies have been wonderful at has been staying true to the books! I just wish, BEFORE writing a negative review, they would read the book the movie is based on! I truly believe their outlook on the movies would be TOTALLY different!
