Tyler Perry fans want Kim Kardashian banned from “Marriage Counselor”

Kim Kardashian has arrived in Atlanta to film scenes for Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie, “The Marriage Counselor.”
Some of Perry’s fans want the reality show personality off the project.
A number of comments from Perry’s website demonstrate some folks’ desire to see Kardashian, who just filed for divorced 72 days after her made-for-TV wedding, gone.
“Kim Kardashian in your movie? Why have you stooped this low?” one person posted.
Wrote another: “I believe it is against your better judgment to have Kim Kardashian star as a supporting actress in your upcoming movie. You still have a moral responsibility to your supporters to maintain a level (of) integrity when (it) comes to casting your movies. I have to boycott this film if Kim Kardashian is part of this project.”
And another: “Mr. Perry when I first heard that you had select Kim to star in a role in one of your movies I dismissed it as typo. I’m not sure what you expect her to bring to your set.”
Other posters sounded more supportive, or at least less outraged. One sounded resolved yet irritated: “Well Tyler, since you are going ahead and keep Kim Kardashian in your new movie in spite of how your fans feel (that) tells it all. You’re beginning to sound arrogant. I felt so proud of how hard you work and how connected you are to your fan base. I don’t see it as your fans telling you what to do and feel like we can because of our undying support, but dang TP, Kardashian does not fit.”
We’re told Kardashian arrived in Atlanta Tuesday afternoon on a Delta flight. Her role in “The Marriage Counselor” is a supporting one, as the pal of of the main character. We’re told she will be filming a party scene to be shot in a loft apartment somewhere in town. The scene also will feature Vanessa Williams, we’re told.
The movie got cranking earlier this month and has filmed scenes at Charlie Brown airport, a Midtown condo and the Virginia-Highland area. We’re not sure where it moves next but once it sets up shop the lure of a Kardashian sighting will no doubt lure a phalanx of cameras.
Kardashian’s often busy Twitter feed has been fairly quiet lately. She did post a “message to fans” the other day explaining that she married for love but just couldn’t make things work with soon to be ex-husband Kris Humphries.
We’re told Kardashian is staying OTP but may plan to hit the town while she is here. Last month she posted this birthday greeting to R&B star Ciara: “I love you and hope you have the best birthday ever!!! We need to celebrate when I come to ATL!”

Robert Kardashian married flight attendant Kris Houghton (Kristen Mary Houghton) in 1978. He earned a law degree from University of San Diego and practiced law for about ten years before moving into the music production business. His marriage to Kris ended in 1989, and on the show Kourtney has claimed that her father loved her mother until his death, in 2003 from esophageal cancer. In Kris’s 2011 biography, she explained that the marriage ended because she cheated on Robert with a guy named Ryan. Here’s the confession from Kris Jenner…
“Coming from humble yet wonderful beginnings in Southern California, I was lucky to meet a man who should have been the love of my life, a young and successful lawyer named Robert Kardashian. He transported me into a Beverly Hills dream life and helped me foster a close relationship with God. Then I threw it all away for a crazy love (or lust affair that left me flattened. I lost my husband, my friends, my home, and nearly me mind, only to reassemble my life and my family with my second husband, the Olympic champion Bruce Jenner. “
She lied to Robert for a while, and made every excuse to have wild, passionate sex with Ryan.
But Kardashian wasn’t the only person Kris cheated on. She also admits in her book to cheating on a professional golfer (who she refuses to name) with Robert Kardashian! Kris Houghton was even engaged to the golfer, and almost got married at Tom Watson’s rented house in England, but for quite some time she had been stringing along Robert Kardashian.
Kris met Robert at a horse race while she was living with her sister in the golfer’s house in San Diego. Robert tracked her down, and continued to call her at the golfer’s house even after she told him about her “situation.” Eventually they went on a date, but that same night the golfer caught Kris and Robert together in the house, and Robert got roughed up by the golfer.
Kris stayed with the golfer for a while, but found an out when she discovered he was cheating on her. After that Robert proposed to Kris, but she refused, still not yet twenty, and not ready to be engaged again. She went off to flight attendant school, and Robert promptly started dating Priscilla Presley!

In the beginning of this debacle, I was feeling very scammed by Kim and her family. BUT if you look at the footage of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, you will see Kris degrade, humiliate and be disrespectful towards Kim continously. I would tell anyone in that kind of situation to run and to run fast. She is making the right decision. I do believe that she loves him but he crossed a line that should never have been crossed.

I have always like TP movies and to believe he focuses of real life with excellent character and integrity of his characters. TP says many young people watches his movies…so they are going to see a pretty lady that lives the hooker like style. She goes after men with money (watch out TP you may be next). We want young people to see positive not negative. Well, Mr. Perry I have always had great respect for you but you make your call and I will make my decision. I tell you if enough adults and parents who are trying to raise their teenagers girls (positive life style and not PIMP football players and basketball plays) would not go see the movie you PUT KIM K (Kitty Girl) you may or may not fell it in your pocket since your are already rich but one day soon…you will. Remember the same people who made your pocket rich and also bring you down.

Are you people crazy?? Kim Kardasian is beautiful inside and out and I think it is a great ideal for Mr. Perry to have her as part of his cast. It’s great and I hope it gives Kim an opportunity to star in other movies. I love reading about the Kardasians and watching them. Khloe is off the chain and kourtney is a sweetie… Much love for all of the Kardasians… And the Jenners

Hate her or love her, when the movie comes out your either going to read about it, talk to someone about it, hear about it, or even see it. He has been providing fun entertainment for many years and since when does someone’s personal life have anything to do with film making. If that was the criteria there would be no movies made…ever! Why is everyone surprised by Mr. Perry’s actions. Have we all forgotten that Perry, although a talented marketing person is a horrible writer/director. He is an expert at marketing and placating his audience. Listen to the words he uses to draw in his audiences in many interviews, “I used this as bait” According to Webster’s definition, Bait is defined: to persecute or exasperate with unjust, malicious, or persistent attacks: tease. In other words”bait” implies that it is used to catch something too dumb to figure out it’s being capture to later be destroyed. i.e. fish, mice, Tyler Perry audiences. We are paying him to insult, demean, defame, humiliate, castrate, and degenerate, not only the characters in his film, but also the talented actors who have worked hard to build their brands, and the audience who views his work. With all that money that he receives from us, I’m praying that he’ll allow someone to assist him in creating something more than a polished turd.

I have been a #1 fan of Tyler Perry, own all his dvd’s, watched him on Oprah and cryed tears for him and celebrated his successes. Tyler, remember the loss of that $12,000 that you had slaved to save for years and no one showed up to your first production? I guess you are so rich now that you do not care whether you please your audience or long time fans. How can a man with morals, values, and a strong sense of family, cast Kim Kardashian in a movie with any message other than superficial, greed, egomania…. I am very disappointed in you.

Kim, marriage is a commitment and you do not get a divorce without trying to save it. It is true that you and Kris did not know each other; however, you did not need to get married. You are a 31 year old lady that has been married before. You could have put the brakes on this marriage. You have hurt your fans and most of all, you hurt Kris. I think Kris H knew he was being used and that is why he had little respect for her. I mean honestly you could see they had no respect for him either when her momma ordered all those limos for their family and none for his. Was that respectful? So when a black woman sheds herself of a man doing her wrong she is praised. When a black woman does well in making money she is lauded. But in this case prejudice from our people rears it’s ugly head. The majority of us claim to be Christian which means we’re from Adam and Eve, which makes us all family. We knock Kim but Meagan Good can’t act either. Thank you Tyler for showing real women and their curves (Jill Scott, Janet Jackson), for bringing real issues like marriages in crisis and our need to not take ourselves so seriously. If you don’t want to see it, then take your dollars to another director/producer that represents us….oops there are none.

This is not looking good for TP. I am a supporter, but agree, I will not support this movie. Heck, I already own a dvd of the play. Don’t need to see it on the big screen. I just can’t see putting more money into this chick’s pocket. She wasn’t born with a gold spoon. We know of the dad because of OJ. We knew nothing of any of the rest of the family until after the dad died and Kim released her dvd with Ray J. It’s sad that the other actors in the movie are going to lose out simply because of her. I’ve always admired the closeness and realness TP has shared with his fans. It is unfortunate that he doesn’t accept the same from us. I don’t think any of us would ever tell him anything wrong or harmful to his career. He has made us so proud up until now. Seems he’s jumping on this bandwagon, mesmerized by the Kardashian hype. These are difficult times and there are plenty of sistas who could use this work. This chick got enough on her plate and doesn’t need the extra press.

I find the comments and the lack of support for and of TP casting decision irrelevant. Okay we all have had that person or charter that we did not care for – so why give Kim this much power to choose or not to choose to view a movie.
We all have our respective view points…but people to go out on a tirade for something this trivial is outrages within its self – we have bigger issues in our community.
As for the comment of Obama vs. Cain – you really don’t understand politics or the black community – stick to entertainment.
The unwarranted attacks and simple speculation on TP character and sexual orientation is low to say the least…those without sin cast the 1st stone.

Jack, it’s black males like you that are black woman’s burden. Obviously you’re the one that appear to be consumed in self-loathing, bitterness & hatred– against women of your own race. Take off your blinders fool. Black women are some of the most self-confident women in the world. The cosmetic beauty business isn’t a billion dollar industry because of black women. The inferiority complex of white women is why it thrives (plastic surgeries, injections, tanning, just to name a few!! The Kardashians sisters wear hair weaves, as do MANY white females so NO kim’s hair isn’t all her own. As usual black males give white females all the credit & black women all the blame. Which is why a fine sista like me is grateful that an ignorant, lost black male as you (whose mother is probably black- yet you’re stereotyping all black women as no more than dirt) is now in the white woman’s dating pool, worshipping at her feetl. Good riddance to you and your inferiority complex. Black women deserve a whole lot better than a clown like you……………….

People are pathetic ! If you choose not to spend your money on the movie because Kim k is in it that’s really your decision.. My whole thing is, if Rihanna , Chris brown, R Kelly were in it, it would then be considered a “good” movie?! Ya’ll need to stop bashing her because I’m sure there are people who have done worse than her… Matter of fact if y’all had money like she does.. Your personal business would be in the media as well!!!! So get a grip and stop hating on her! To each their OWN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tyler Perry has the right to cast whomever he wants in his movies. That being said, the presence of Kim Kardashian ensures that I will NOT be seeing this movie.
