Tyler Perry fans want Kim Kardashian banned from “Marriage Counselor”

Kim Kardashian has arrived in Atlanta to film scenes for Tyler Perry’s upcoming movie, “The Marriage Counselor.”
Some of Perry’s fans want the reality show personality off the project.
A number of comments from Perry’s website demonstrate some folks’ desire to see Kardashian, who just filed for divorced 72 days after her made-for-TV wedding, gone.
“Kim Kardashian in your movie? Why have you stooped this low?” one person posted.
Wrote another: “I believe it is against your better judgment to have Kim Kardashian star as a supporting actress in your upcoming movie. You still have a moral responsibility to your supporters to maintain a level (of) integrity when (it) comes to casting your movies. I have to boycott this film if Kim Kardashian is part of this project.”
And another: “Mr. Perry when I first heard that you had select Kim to star in a role in one of your movies I dismissed it as typo. I’m not sure what you expect her to bring to your set.”
Other posters sounded more supportive, or at least less outraged. One sounded resolved yet irritated: “Well Tyler, since you are going ahead and keep Kim Kardashian in your new movie in spite of how your fans feel (that) tells it all. You’re beginning to sound arrogant. I felt so proud of how hard you work and how connected you are to your fan base. I don’t see it as your fans telling you what to do and feel like we can because of our undying support, but dang TP, Kardashian does not fit.”
We’re told Kardashian arrived in Atlanta Tuesday afternoon on a Delta flight. Her role in “The Marriage Counselor” is a supporting one, as the pal of of the main character. We’re told she will be filming a party scene to be shot in a loft apartment somewhere in town. The scene also will feature Vanessa Williams, we’re told.
The movie got cranking earlier this month and has filmed scenes at Charlie Brown airport, a Midtown condo and the Virginia-Highland area. We’re not sure where it moves next but once it sets up shop the lure of a Kardashian sighting will no doubt lure a phalanx of cameras.
Kardashian’s often busy Twitter feed has been fairly quiet lately. She did post a “message to fans” the other day explaining that she married for love but just couldn’t make things work with soon to be ex-husband Kris Humphries.
We’re told Kardashian is staying OTP but may plan to hit the town while she is here. Last month she posted this birthday greeting to R&B star Ciara: “I love you and hope you have the best birthday ever!!! We need to celebrate when I come to ATL!”

Why must all of you people be full of such hate? You guys are so forgiving of some of our brothers that have done far worse things. i.e Chris Brown-woman beater and R.Kelly-molester. This girl has done nothing wrong other then post her life out to the public. She deserves a chance like everyone else. Obviously your not connected to the church with all that anger pinned inside. If you are its Wednesday and (Bible Study Night) ask God for forgivness and support Tyler Perry as you once did before. Get a life and Grow UP!!!

Tyler Perry has an eye for talent and maybe he is seeing something in Kim that noone else is seeing. We need to get past her personal life it”s not like she is counsselling someone for real. If you are true fans of Tyler Perry you will support the regardless of who he cast in his film.

What a joke!! What has Kim K done to deserve an opportunity like this? Giving her this role is a slap in the face to other experienced and inexperienced actresses who are so more deserving!! This is one TP movie I will not be seeing.

I was very disappointed in Tyler Perry’s decision to cast Kim Kardashian.The Kardashians are millionaires are smart at creating a brand from a sextape – true. There are so many out of work, talented actors who have worked hard at their craft. Auditioning for a role has pretty much gone out the window. Actors now have to compete with ‘realtiy’ characters, rappers, singers, models, etc to get a job.

I am not sure of Mr. Perry rationale behind casting Ms. Kardashian in his latest production. I have been a supporter of Mr. Perry since early 2000 and I respect him as a producer, screen-writer, and as a man. I would love to see more Black actors who are not the “right fit” in standard Hollywood movies or have been stereotyped into a particular role. Actors like Isaiah Washington, Nia Long, Jeffrey Wright, Jennifer Lewis, Angela Bassett, Lynn Whitfield, Marla Gibbs, Regina King, and Samuel L. Jackson; to name a few. The above-mentioned actors have appeared in numerous movies including in a couple of Mr. Perry’s movies, in supporting roles but not as the lead. Give all of those great and talented actors, an opportunity to bring a good script to life.

I’m not a fan of any of the Kardashians or any of the other reality tv personalities. What I have a problem with is this, our young people watch this crap on tv and are trying to recreate that drama in their real lives. What our youth don’t realize is that these people are PAID for their drama. What is our youth getting out of reenactting this foolishness in their lives? Nothing but a lot of heartache in the end that they won’t be able to undo. In the meantime, these so called reality stars have made a buck will be gone on with their lives. Our youth will be left with std’s, broken hearts and pasts that they wish they could erase. emember people, this is Amercia, watch it if you want to, don’t if you don’t want to, it’s your right. I personally talk with my teen about the mess that is seen on tv and try to educate him. Just pray that he’s listening and absorbing what I’m telling him.

What does this woman’s personal life have to do with anything? Tyler might have auditioned Kim and he felt comfortable that she could get by. I’ll give him credit. It’s a great marketing ploy to draw in people would not normally attend his movies. He knows his numbers drop when Medea is not the featured character. The people who like that type of buffonery are inconsistent in their attendance.
Tyler was laughing to the bank when the divorce was announced. I bet most of the people(females) that are complaining are the ones who primarily go the the “Medea” based movies.

The people that Tyler Perry casts in his movie have absolutely no appeal in the mainstream,that’s why they don’t get parts in Hollywood A list movies.
They only qualify for black exploitation films.

She could only be married 72 days … and I hear 60 of those were awful.
She has lied and said she has done nothing to alter her facial appearance. That is a lie as she has gotten several facial procedures which no longer allow her to look like the photo used in this story. Google Kim Kardashian plastic surgery before and after photos and look at the images which do not lie regardless of what she says.

I think that Tyler did a wonderful job of casting Kim Kardashian as the co-star of the movie. Many people feel that what you see on TV is actually what you get in real life…clearly, that’s not the case. Kim Kardashian is a beautiful, smart, business-savvy women who is very independent. You don’t know what she will bring to set. To me, it’s the best movie already and it’s not even done yet. lol. I just feel like the people who are hating need to get a life. If you are a follower of Tyler Perry, you will know that he teaches inspiration and lifestyle, society issues, and a number of other things. Blacks supported Tyler Perry when no one else would. White people never cared about him until he started producing blockbusters with the help of his fans who all just so happened to be black. Kim (nor her pimp mother Kris) would give him the time of day if he had not had such success with his Madea movies which were made famous by blacks, not whites.
I cannot see why Mr. Perry chose to cast Kim in this film as the only film work I know of for her was the Ray J sex tape. I don’t think anyone is hating on her. I am sure whites are also questioning why she is cast in a film titled “Marriage Counselor” when she was only married such a short time herself before she filed for divorce. That is just common sense and has nothing to do with race.
