“Real Housewife” Cynthia Bailey to host black-tie ball

cynthia-bailey-real-housewives-of-atlanta-225x300Eager to elevate Atlanta’s cultural landscape, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Cynthia Bailey, right, is co-hosting a black-tie soiree themed “The Gentleman’s Ball: A Celebration of The True Gentleman” later this month.

Joining Bailey will be former “Good Day Atlanta” host Suchita Vadlamani. The event is planned for 7 p.m. to midnight Nov. 11 at the Georgia Freight Depot, next to Underground Atlanta.

“We are producing this event because the community is in desperate need of social elevation,” event organizers explained in a statement. “It’s time for us to be wined, dined and serenaded. We believe there are many men looking to attend an event of such exquisite taste.”

Proceeds benefit Corporate Code, which hosts monthly seminars for men on issues including interview appropriate attire, career counseling, stress management, money management and conflict resolution. The event’s site promises “an evening of delightful decadence where sophistication and class create an unparalleled gentleman experience” that “caters to a caliber of men of superlative quality; those that exude extreme taste, eminence, and renowned social status.”

So, come dressed to impress!

Tickets are $100 each or $150 per couple. For information and reservations see this web site.

My best friend is attending this event with his boyfriend. This article is slightly askew I believe the event is called “The Gentlemen’s Ball.” Trust me ladies there will be no men there interested in you. Nonetheless, I’m sure it will be a FABOLOUS affair.

I was contacted regarding interest in my venue for this event. The previous person is absolutely correct. STAY HOME LADIES! The men at this “gentlemen’s” ball will only be interested in one another. This is Atlanta, after all.

What straight man would want to go? I’m straight and I go to many events only because my wife wants me to go with her. I’ve run into Cynthia Bailey and her husband Peter a few times too. If there is no football to watch there, then what straight man would want to go? I’m just saying…

so tired of it all. let it go people. nice to let everyone know that if you a female, you may not wish to attend this particular ball. i know plenty of straight and single men in the ATL. you just have to be of a certain standard yourself to attract their attention–even if that means being natural and having self confidence.

Wow!!!! I’m floored at some of the comments, but hey they so any publicity is good publicity. As 1/2 of the Event Producers, I can say that YES this is an event catered towards Gentlemen in the LGBT community, however ANYONE who is Secure with themselves and want to experience something different in Atlanta are welcome and encouraged to attend. My company behind the event (www.agspotproduction.com) is an event production company for any and everyone who happens to be owned by a Black Gay Married Couple..so yes we are passionate about our community and will continue to produce events like this for us. Don’t be so threatened by attending events that targets those in the LGBT community, afterall we attend ‘your’ events all the time. :-)

Call us to make YOUR event just as Fabulous. (Shameless Plug)

And to the Gentlemen NewYorkerInATL… the type of men that Corporate Code helps are homeless men, recently incarcerated and displaced men. They help them get back into the workforce.

G.SPOT Productions loves all the feedback good and bad!!

Let’s all party together!!! See you on 11.11.11!!!

Not surprised at the random, hate filled comments. I fully support the event and all that it represents. It is supported by straight, gay, non-sexual and asexual people — most would already know this by all of the events and publicity that Corporate Code has received over the past two years.

I will be in attendance and encourage anyone who wants to support a non-profit organization help displaced men receive assistance. If you need additional information about the organization and it’s purpose, click this link — http://www.atlantaintownpaper.com/2010/01/corporate-code-helps-homeless-men-dress-for-success/ or just google Corporate Code Atlanta.

Oh, one last thing — if you planned on attending this event in hopes of finding a man or a date, keep in mind that this is not EHarmony…the purpose of your presence is to support Corporate Code.

So it takes $100-$150 to support displaced men recieve assistance? This organization (Corporate Code) is lining their pockets with others money. GTFOH!!! This event is only PROMOTING the the disgusting behavior of what takes place in the LGBT community. HOW SICK AND DISGUSTING!!!
