Denzel Washington parties with Frank Ski!
Actor Denzel Washington is in town filming a movie called “Flight,” an action-adventure thriller in which he plays a heroic pilot with a mysterious past.
Home to the world’s busiest airport, Atlanta’s the perfect spot for such a project!
Friday night Denzel checked out V103 host Frank Ski’s new restaurant on Peachtree and posed for this photo. Along with Denzel, from left, and Ski, are Dan Meachum and Tavon “Tayrok” Johnson.
We’ve gotten a few other Denzel sightings since he’s been here, all pretty low key. Someone spotted him buying apples at a Whole Foods store near Emory, and he was also seen at The Container Store (he’s healthy and organized). He also put in an appearance at a recent business event at the 200 Peachtree events facility.
Ski’s folks sent us the photo on the right and Ski tweeted this other photo, below, of Denzel and his mom.

Who gives a sh@t what Americans “do for Africa.” This is AMERICA. If you want to help poor black people you can start right here in Atlanta.
If you REALLY are from Africa, then you know that slavery is still practiced over there. Shame on you. Give some loyalty to the Country that gives you the good life. Either that or do what everyone else has been telling Scott to do and get the hell out.
BTW, I think Denzel is a great actor. One of the best of my lifetime. I go see a movie if he’s in it. has he made a “stinker?” Sure everyone has. I just can’t think of one off hand but I’m sure someone can post one and I’ll say “Oh yeah.” Or maybe not. I really can’t think of a bad movie he’s made…….
His Oscar was money BS. The movie he did then was just ok, not an Academy award thing. But that’s the Academy awards, THEY are BS. MOST movies and actors that win don’t deserve it. However, Denzel has turned in many performances other than that one that were deserving so I certainly didn’t begrudge his token award. It was (as most are) for the body of work where he DID deserve it more than for the movie that made a lot of cash where he got it.

Edit: The Book of Eli was a pretty weak movie. He did a decent job but over all, it’s not a movie I want to see again. I have yet to see American Gangster. Was it any good? I MEANT to see it, I just haven’t……….

Denzel is a great actor and humanitarian. He does a lot of charity but, just does not get recognized for his good works like other Hollywooders. He supports all people and race is not involved. By the way I am white and give props to all good people no matter what color skin they live in!!!!!!! Wake up people we will never leave this world alive. Stop hating start caring about people!!!!

The bottom line is that he’s a person, a hollywood star, and he’s being seen around ATL while he’s filming. WHY does this have to be about whether he is black or white? What difference does it make????
