Lady Gaga, Ben Stiller, Goldie Hawn and Sammy Hagar are but a few of the celebs who have been spotted in Atlanta over the past week or so.
Goldie and her daughter Kate Hudson had brunch at R. Thomas on Sunday. Tipsters say Goldie was looking all put together — straight hair, perfect makeup, while Kate had a casual elegant look going, with her hair in a ponytail. Kate is here filming “The Reluctant Fundamentalist” with Kiefer Sutherland and Liev Schreiber. That movie’s here for a short time, like maybe just this week. It’s been filming downtown (Castleberry Hill area) and Midtown/Piedmont Park. Kiefer has been spotted at places like Veni Vidi Vici, and South City Kitchen.
Lady Gaga was at Holeman & Finch last Thursday night and so was Ben Stiller (they were not together). We think she’s in town because she is dating .. a vampire? (Reports link her and “Vampire Diaries” actor Taylor Kinney). Tipster says she had drinks and snacks at H&F and had a nice low-key time.
Gaga also took in one of the final Braves games of the season. She reserved one of the box suites so she could watch last Tuesday’s game in privacy. Tipsters say she showed up looking casual, drinking a brew and just enjoying the game. (If only the Gaga magic had rubbed off on the Braves.) She was also spotted at Church (the store, not a house of worship) and we hear she also ran by the Clermont Inn, which sounds about right.
Why is Ben Stiller here you may ask? Filming “Neighborhood Watch,” with Adam Sandler and Vince Vaughn. More on that to come.
Oh speaking of the Braves, Dan Uggla and Freddie Freeman were spotted at Tavern 99 in Buckhead Sunday during local musician Scotty Cram’s performance.
Comic Adam Carolla, in town for his show at the Tabernacle over the weekend, checked out Varasano’s pizza. And last Wednesday must have been 80s rocker night at Hudson Grille in Midtown. Sammy Hagar and Eddie Money dined there. Maybe they were hoping to spot Justin Bieber. He and Selena Gomez had a little date night there about a week before, with Usher as chaperone!
