Justin Bieber and gal pal Selena Gomez had a sweet little date night Saturday in Midtown.
They were at Hudson Grille’s Midtown location to watch Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz mix it up. Usher was there as well. (Serving as chaperone perhaps? )
Usher and Bieber both performed Saturday at the Georgia Music Hall of Fame awards show at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Selena was ushered in right before her man took the stage with some friends. There’s a photo of the happy trio from the comprehensive Bieber fan site http://www.justinbieberzone.com.
Here’s a very blurry photo of her, in the middle of the three young ladies cheering for the Biebs. Thanks to reader Laura Pitsikoulis for sending this to us!
Oh, speaking of “Money” Mayweather, we once ran into him in the InterContinental Hotel valet line. We were waiting to leave when Mayweather’s entourage pulled up. They were hard to miss, with Mayweather’s photo and logos plastered on the exterior of the SUVs.
While his people unloaded a mountain of gear Mayweather sort of paced around muttering to himself. We left without saying hi. Seemed like he needed a moment to himself.
Anyway, back to more recent star sightings.
Dennis Quaid feels right at home in Atlanta. He stars in the “Footloose” remake that was filmed here last year and comes out Oct. 14. Now he’s here working on “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” the movie starring Jennifer Lopez, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock and a ton of other names.
Dennis strolled into Northside Tavern Thursday night and just jammed with the band for a while. He played guitar and piano and had a good time hanging out with the crowd. Neat, huh?
Speaking of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” they have been filming all over the place. Last week they filmed a scene with Brooklyn Decker at Chops in Buckhead. She and her husband, tennis star Andy Roddick, dined for fun at Spice Market last week.
Celeb chef Gordon Ramsay has been in town filming an episode of his show Kitchen Nightmares. We can only imagine the trauma he induced among the staff there but we’ll have to wait for the show to see the havoc he wreaked.
Once he was done screaming at the hapless employees Ramsay was spotted dining at a couple of local spots, Rosebud and The Family Dog. Reports are that he is actually very nice and normal in person.
R&B star Janelle Monae performed Thursday at the opening of the newly rebranded Renaissance Atlanta Midtown Hotel, formerly known as the Hotel Palomar Atlanta.
And local cookbook author and Food Network personality Alton Brown has been spotted a couple of times now at Chicken and the Egg, a popular new farm-to-table spot in Marietta.
He’s back on Twitter, by the way, after signing off in a huff last month when some nutcase started impersonating his wife.
Y’all be sweet, and maybe he’ll stick around this time.
