NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey strike a pose at charity fashion show
Cynthia Bailey, left and NeNe Leakes from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" attended Jeffrey Fashion Cares Monday night. The annual charity event was held at the 12th & Midtown building, next to the Loews Hotel.
NeNe Leakes, seated in the front row by the runway, sported a decorative fan that complemented her outfit. Seated a few spots down was the B-52s' Fred Schneider, in the red shirt on the left. He served as celebrity DJ for the after-party at Opera nightclub.
After the fashion show several people wanted to take photos of NeNe and Cynthia and the "Housewives" happily obliged.
Created by designer Jeffrey Kalinsky and chaired this year by Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams, Fashion Cares raised money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure—Greater Atlanta Affiliate and the Atlanta AIDS Fund. This year's guest designer was Jason Wu.

Thanks Ms. Brett for covering all celebrities, real or not. Other attendees actually asked the two women to pose for pictures. The RHOA are filming at a spa in Alphatetta /Duluth today.

You’re welcome. I don’t watch the RHOA or any other reality show, if you want to know the truth. But a bunch of y’all do. It’s a ratings bonanza for Bravo. In fact I think it’s the most popular of all of Bravo’s “Housewives” shows. My job is to write about what is interesting to readers, not what is interesting to me personally. If that were the case you’d be reading a blog about “This American Life.” I doubt anyone wants that.

Aren’t Black America sick and tired of so-called Black celebrities misrepresenting our culture? This is why other races do not respect us because we support this foolishness in our own cultures. From sagging pants to tattoos all over the bodies. We can not expect to be taken seriously if we are self-respecting people. Some celebrities and professional athletes are some of the worst expressions of a broken culture for Black peoples. We are the only culture that de-grade their own people, and publicly! Finally, you call this entertainment? HWOA is a big joke! This is a prime example of a deteriorating Black cultural and America in general. These types of shows stay on the air simply because people keeps the rating high by watching them. They serve no good purpose. They are neither entertaining or educating. People think that as long as they are making money its ok. All money is not good money. Black people, such as myself, should be outraged that we are poorly represented by these clowns. We have accomplished much in this country but some of us are not showing good character and self-respect for our own. Wake up Black America! When do you want to be respected?
