Beyonce joyfully announced she and husband Jay-Z are expecting at Sunday night’s Video Music Awards by striking a baby-bump pose on the red carpet and then later displaying her lovely roundness at the end of her performance.
Dad-to-be Jay-Z could hardly contain himself. The camera showed him smiling and cheering his beautiful wife.
Mr. and Mrs. Shawn Carter have been married since 2008 and preggo rumors have popped up now and again over since. This one is true! What wonderful news.
Beyonce’s baby bump was one of the show’s top highlights, along with a moving performance by Adele and a high-flying number by Chris Brown.
“Chris Brown should teach a Zumba class,” tweeted Atlanta’s LaTonya Story. Ha!
Lady Gaga, in a stark departure from the Egg-mobile and meat dress years, showed up dressed like a street punk. She kept the outfit and persona throughout the show, and made lecherous googly eyes at Britney

So basically if you have a pulse, you’re in. Past casting calls for this film, also starring Chris Rock, Chace Crawford and Anna Kendrick, have been more specific. Early on they held a casting call for new moms and their babies and moms-to-be.

Hey want to have lunch with “The Real Housewives of Atlanta?”
Bistro VG in Roswell has them on the menu.
The restaurant at 70 W. Crossville Road just tweeted: “Come have lunch at the Bistro today and watch Kim and Cindy shoot a scene from Real Housewives of Atlanta!”
How’s that for a lunch special? We assume by “Cindy” they mean Cynthia Bailey, whose wedding at Fernbank capped the last season of Bravo’s runaway hit. Kim Zolciak’s pregnancy, baby shower and newborn will surely be featured in the upcoming season. Her fella Kroy Biermann accompanied her to Bailey’s wedding and was featured just briefly. Maybe he’ll get more camera time this season.
As far as filming sites go Bistro VG is a good choice. Its chic interior is going to look dreamy on screen. Wonder what the ladies will be discussing? Presumably not Kim’s singing career. “I don’t even know why she sings,” Bailey once told UsMagazine.com in a video interview. “She has no talent!”
Let us know if you go.
First people were tweeting like mad about today’s earthquake.
Then the earthquake itself started tweeting.
Some fast-thinking Twitter user registered the name @DC_Earthquake earlier today. (Official bio: “I’m here to shake things up in Washington. No more business as usual. Vote DC Earthquake 2012.”)
In just over an hour the clever tweeter had attracted more than 700 followers with 140-character-or-less quips such as “I have what it takes to get Congress moving again” and “Some are worried that the Washington Monument is leaning? C’mon, that’s just 100% swagger.”
Someone else started the similarly named @DCEarthquake2011 account today as well. Lest anyone confuse the various accounts dedicated to the earthquake, that tweeter posted this important announcement: “This isn’t ’someone’s’ earthquake Twitter account. This is the REAL earthquake speaking.”
But when we checked just a second ago, that account had been deleted. Or perhaps it’s more
Someone just forwarded this notice alerting workers to be on the lookout for vampires today:
“A television production crew will be shooting scenes for an upcoming episode of ‘Vampire Diaries’ near Georgia-Pacific Center today. They will close small sections of several downtown streets between 1-8 p.m. Although, you may notice preparation activity earlier.
The streets impacted are the south curb lane of John Wesley Dobbs Avenue between Peachtree Center Avenue and Peachtree Street; and between John Wesley Dobbs Avenue and Auburn Avenue. These streets will be closed intermittently while the cameras are rolling (no longer than 90 seconds).
In addition, curbside parking on Park Place between John Wesley Dobbs Avenue and Auburn Avenue will be reserved for vehicles being used in the filming.
Atlanta police officers will be on site to direct traffic.”
Just up the road, of course, “What To Expect When You’re Expecting” has been filming in Midtown, near the Woodruff Arts Center. A
Cameron Diaz is filming some scenes for “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” in Midtown today. They’re right outside the Woodruff Arts Center at the moment (or they were as of about an hour ago.)
Thanks to our eye in the sky Jill Levenson we have a few photos to share with you. That’s Cameron in the blue tank top.
The movie has filmed at the Woodruff Arts Center before, and also at Smith’s Olde Bar, Piedmont Park, Charlie Brown airport and other Atlanta locations. It will be fun to look for Atlanta landmarks on the big screen!
If you’re in the Midtown area you should “expect” some pretty heavy traffic today.
We’ve heard from a couple of folks who work in the area that they have been notified the filming will shut down part of Peachtree Street from 4 to 7 p.m. today.

Will Smith and his wife of 13 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, are NOT splitting up, despite what In Touch Weekly reports.
The couple released a statement after dominating blog and Twitter chatter today.
“Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false,” they said in a statement posted on People’s web site. “We are still together, and our marriage is intact.”
But Trey Smith’s Twitter feed was emphatic: “No they did NOT split ! False information ..it’s not true RETWEET!” followed by “Everyone can think what they want ..even if it’s not true. #Lame” And so on.
Radar Online posted a report disputing the Splitsville rumor earlier in the day. It quotes another secret source saying the first one
Has a Jennifer Lopez-Cameron Diaz catfight broken out on the set of “What To Expect When You’re Expecting?”
This Gawker post titled “Jennifer Lopez Wages Silent War on Trash-Talking Cameron Diaz” paraphrases Diaz complaining about the size of J-Lo’s entourage. But that’s about it. Even the Gawker writer ranks it pretty low on the Diva Meter.
However, our sources have provided a little on-set scoop. When the movie was filming at Smith’s Olde Bar on Piedmont Avenue near Monroe Drive, they rented out nearby Glory Be salon to serve as Lopez’ green room. Apparently her trailer was parked down the road in a church parking lot, but that was deemed too far away.
So when she wasn’t needed in front of the camera, J-Lo was chillaxing a few doors down at Glory Be. Salon owner Gloria Garner told us the movie folks came in to hang thick black drapery on the windows so the star could be assured of absolute privacy.
But that’s not all.
Smith’s and Glory Be, in the same little strip of stores,
