Report: Casey Anthony lawyer negotiating pay-for-play access
A bunch of networks are jockeying to interview Casey Anthony. We're guessing Nancy Grace's HLN isn't among them.
Update! The LA Times reports that Casey Anthony has sealed a $1 million deal for a television interview. The Times’ source was a little light on details, though, so we’ll see if this pans out. Here is the link to that story.
Here’s what we posted earlier.
In an update that should shock exactly no one, TMZ reports that Jose Baez, Casey Anthony’s lawyer, ” is holed up at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City, holding court with all of the major networks – to determine who will score the first interview with Casey — and big bucks are involved.”
TMZ says its sources report that NBC, ABC and CBS are all competing for the first interview and that “there is a big price tag for the interview.”
Finally, TMZ reports that NBC appears to be the most likely to nab the interview – and is paying for Baez’ hotel room.

So is HLN among the players here? Uh, maybe not. Host Nancy Grace, who racked up historic ratings during the trial, won’t even call Anthony by her name, preferring “Tot Mom” instead. Here’s a link to our interview with Grace. On the other hand Grace, who has been adamant in insisting Anthony should have been convicted, did tell us she would be interested to know “why she did such a thing.”

Sounds like Jose Baez has gone from scumbag attorney to scumbag agent for his client. WOW — wonder what his children will think of him when this is all over and done with. To be truthful – I am sick of hearing about it all and wish she would move to some other country far far away where we don’t have to see her disgusting face on the news anymore. What do these media hounds think she is going to say during her interview. “oh by the way – I did kill my kid”!!! Come on people!! I think anyone who pays her a dime is horrible and should hang their heads in shame!!! I for one will NEVER watch any interview she does or read any book she or any of her family member writes. They are all a bunch of liars anyway so what good does it do? It’s just so sad that this beautiful little girl had to be born to such an evil and ugly mother – she deserved so much better. I am at peace knowing that Casey will be judged by God one day and she will get what is coming to her!!!!

Disgusted at this development? You have the power. Refuse to watch any of it. Express your disgust to the network that promotes it. Let the advertisers know you will no longer buy their products. It works. Advertisers have pulled their ad dollars before with enough consumer backlash.
If enough of us take a few minutes to follow-up on this, the numbers will grow, the message will be sent, and it will all go away.

This is a complete mockery and embarrassment of our justice system. What is the world turning into? Are we really living in a day where a woman who kills her daughter is given millions to lie to everyone on national television? ABC and CBS don’t give FREE airtime to deserving non-profits and support groups that give people life. I can’t imagine what other lies she may have up her sleeve! anyone that claims that they will not watch this is a liar! how can you not want to see the conclusion of this horrific story by this sick, twisted, person who claims to be a mother, that had a hand in her daughter’s death and our justice system deemed her innocent. She is fascinating! whether you like to admit it or not, she is must see television. The fact that she lied for so long, and got away with murder makes her something of an enigma. Plus, I want to see her say something dumb that may land her back where she belongs. Anyway! RIP Sweet Caylee…

The Jury has spoken its over Folks. Move on. If you dont want to read the book or watch the interview DONT. She has been found NOT GUILTY and this is a free country so she can do as she pleases.
Casey probably was involved in some way…but the prosecutor did not prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. So move on………….Find ways to improve the justice system…there are many cases like this and worse…. still unsolved….
Because it is about a child emotions run high and judgements are clouded…. the jury has much stricter rules and guidelines to go by….before passing a verdict. Sure Everyone is entitled to an opinion but after a while its overkill….

My TV has an off switch, and I can turn it off and leave it off and I wil, I will not watch any network that would air an interview with this criminal I will not have more LIES in my face, I will not have even the teasers and ads about the interview shoved down my throat, and I have the right to spend my money with ANYONE and I choose to spend it with ANYONE who does not sponsor this travesty.

A million dollars worth of lies from Casey Anthony. I don’t imagine Casey will have the money for long with certain law suits pending or those threatening to sue her. Caylee Anthony paid the ultimate price for her mother’s fame. I don’t believe Casey committed first degree murder, but she is responsible for that baby’s death. By the way, a not guilty verdict is not saying she is innocent either. When OJ got away with his double homicide, karma came back and took care of him. I imagine this will also happen to Casey Anthony. Any one who pays Casey Anthony anything except to walk in front of a fast moving train is crazy.

He coordinates all of it so he and his defense team will get their $$. (Providing they are not the state funded defense attorneys). Knowing the lawyers, there will be not too much left for her… Also, the interview will be all mellow, scripted, controlled and censored. No TV station (or other) wants to be dragged into accountability, and responsibility for a “bad” interview consequences There will not be any direct question (that everyone wants to ask) allowed. Even then – there would be only “politically correct” answers. I would not be surprised, if her lawyer was not present at all. On the top of that 10 commercials every 5 minutes At the end of the day – just another interview with no news.

People such as Nancy Grace, the nutcase, and that “wild woman” Mitchel should never be allowed to speak in public, much less be on TV and get paid for it. Casey getting paid for an interview is no worse than that evil B spouting her lies and getting paid for it. She will get what is coming to her one of these days and I can’t wait.
I watched every minute of the trial and the guilty ones here are George and Cindy Anthony. I do not believe Casey killed her daughter. CNN and HLN did not fairly report this. That nutcase Nancy Grace hangs on to something like a pitbull and never lets go regardless if she knows she is reporting incorrectly and she did, many times…just for ratings and she got them. I understand she did not watch the trial, instead went to Disney while she was in Orlando.
I hope that Casey stays away from those lying parents forever. They threw her under the bus from the getgo. The jury did not find her guilty and they heard all the witnesses. That Jeff Ashford is a jackass and should have been fined for his antics and the disrespect he showed in that courtroom. Now the truth comes out, there was only ONE SEARCH FOR CHLOROFORM, NOT 84 and the prosecution knew this but do you think it was reported on HLN or CNN. I will never watch those channels again. They do not report the truth, only add fuel to the fire of the general public who are completely ignorant of the law. There was no proof in any way. Casey lied yes, but that does not mean she is a murderer. Casey learned to lie from the craddle. If people had watched the trial instead of getting into the lynch mob mentality by joining the ignorant mob they could have gotten to the truth. I wish Casey the very best, George covered up an accident because Cindy left the gate up, period. That family is so disfunctional they will never be healthy. Casey is young enough if she gets the help she needs and stays away from them she can overcome what has happened. As far as getting paid for an interview, why not? She has to have money and the raving maniacs like NG and the media won’t let her work, at least for a while. If the media doesn’t let all of this go, some nut will do harm to Casey or someone in her family. Some people don’t have the common sense to see through all the reporting that is done and the lies that are put out there strictly for ratings. I will never watch CNN, HLN or Nancy Grace or that “wild woman” Mitchell again. Vinnie Politan is just about as bad. Some of those former prosecutors and former defense attorneys just wanted to be in the limelight, anything for ratings and money. Do you people really think Casey would have left her daughter in the woods so close to her house? She may have lied but she is not that stupid. It may never come out but if and when it does, you will find George and Cindy more guilty than Casey. The prosecution did not prove anything with all their antics and supposedly expert witnesses. I applaud the jury for following the law. Some of the prosecution’s witnesses were real duds.
If the media would let this go and the reporters turn their attention to other important things and people, which there are many, perhaps the public would quit getting their thrills from this case. FIRE THAT B, NG TO START WITH..

The next time someone goes to prison and there is a crowd of people protesting that the person is not guilty everyone will say we have to trust our justice system. She was found not guilty because they could not prove she did it So she should be out of jail I think she did it but like everyone else you cant put her in jail for something you cant prove.

Interesting to see that white folks aren’t biased towards her because of skin color and overwhelmingly believe she’s guilty. A shame others turned their blinders on during the O.J. trial and before Vick admitted to killing dogs though. The jury did not have enough common sense to know what reasonable doubt meant. It was shocking to me that her attorney could get up in his opening statement and trash every member of her family and not provide witnesses – this should scare everyone. As defendant’s counsel, I can get up and say whatever I want and I never have to prove it. Just let it marinate in the jury’s mind. He did get a couple of things right though, she is a definite liar and slut.
