“Three Stooges” movie filming in Atlanta this week

stoogesThe Farrelly brothers, who last year filmed the comedy “Hall Pass” in Atlanta, are back to shoot “The Three Stooges.”

“We felt that they never got the proper consideration from their studio or from Hollywood, which felt they were second rate,” Peter Farrelly told the Providence (R.I.) Journal, explaining the thought behind bringing Larry, Moe and Curly back to the big screen. “We want to give them the ‘A’ treatment they deserve.”

The movie will star Will Sasso, Chris Diamantopoulos, Sean Hayes, Jane Lynch and Larry David. Here’s a link to the movie web site with more details.

Our sources tell us the project did some shooting in Cartersville before moving intown and to Stone Mountain.

some shows are just not the same without the original actors– you keep waiting to see them pop up. three stooges? nope, it would def take the real three to revamp that and that is not possible. but hath, you do know that EVERYTHING gets remade, right? i think everything disney has ever done has been put out again in some form or the other. in some ways, it is good for the younger generations as they get exposed to some positive shows that do not involve cursing and killing. in other regards- is it possible the remakes are not for us after all? some stars are irreplaceable. i would have to say NO to a new andy griffith and barney fife, NO to any other genie and major whateva his name was. NO to anyone trying to play groucho marx or johnny carson. oh well, just told my age– it is all good.

Arnold Schwarzenegger was known for groping women before he got married.
Who cares, I feel sorry for the child, and the woman’s husband who thought this was his child.

@hathatforshore ,@carla roqs You two do realize that this movie is about the men who were the Three Stooges, and not a re-make of their “television” show, which was just repackaged movie shorts.

@carla i understand and i totally agree me and you are more than likely the same age are close to it i say this i was born in the late 60s and @ david didnt know that but how is it about them when in there personal live they were very private ppl but i enjoy watching the orginal tv shows Moe did his own stunts and i dont get burned out on watching but holly weird is all about making a profit thats the way show bussiness is to be honest i dont watch tv nothing on there that peaks my interest unless its an old orignal show from the 50s and 60s are 70s and im not even 50 yet it just my opinion the shows that are on tv today is nothing but garbage!!
