Cheer on Richard Blais during “Top Chef All Stars” viewing party

Richard Blais is going to be crowned the “Top Chef All Stars” winner tonight.

Or not.

Either way, fans of the telegenic Atlanta chef can come cheer him on at a viewing party at the Buckhead Theatre.

Doors open at 8:30 p.m., last week’s episode rolls at 9 p.m. and the big finale starts at 10 p.m. You can RSVP and find out who else on the event’s Facebook page.

We talked to Blais, the guy behind the Flip Burger Boutique concept for a minute this week as he was juggling a slew of media interviews.

“It’s definitely made me a better chef,” said Blais, a past “Top Chef” contender who’s also worked with the Science Channel on a show called “Blais Off,” which flexes his “molecular-gastronomy” muscles. “There’s nothing like taking criticism in front of millions of people.”

Given the glut of reality fare on the television dial, we asked Blais why he thinks chefs seem to make such good TV. Simple, he said: “Everyone eats! Maybe not everyone wears fancy clothes, but everyone has strong opinion about food.”

In his scant free time he enjoys Fourth & Swift and Bacchanalia when not dining on his own fare. And when comfort food is in order? “I’m always good for a banana and peanut butter [sandwich],” he said. Blais will be in New York tonight, by the way.

There’s no admission charge to attend the viewing party here, and there will be a cash bar. Guests are, naturally, encouraged to eat at Flip beforehand.

I am a big fan of Richard’s; I have wanted him to win since the season started. I think it will be a close match because Mike’s skill seem to keep growing. Has anynone been to Flip? How is it?

I hope Jesus gives Richard the victory he deserves. Jesus loves Richard, and will be coursing through his veins while he is preparing his otherwise mediocre modern cuisine. Lets hope Jesus comes through!!

this show is pre-recorded, so praying for an outcome is useless, just like anytime you pray. not that i would expect you to be reasonable.

There’s no [CHARGE FOR] admission to attend the viewing party here. No admission would be silly.

So if he is throwing a Viewing party for the season finale, more than likely, he won…

Good Luck tonight Richard. I have been a fan since the first time I saw you on Top Chef. Your skills are second to none. We ate at Flip for my sons 20th birthday and I must say it was Excellent!!! The Nutella milkshake is a game changer for sure and the Korean BBQ burger was superb!!

You’re a typical obnoxious florida gator and I sincerely wish you wouldn’t mix your university allegiance into your craft.

“The Nutella milkshake is a game changer for sure”. Gurl, just how old are you? I hope not over 20.

Go Richard!!!! I caught briefly a couple of the shows today and got to say, Richard and Marcel both have mind boggling molecular gastronomy talents but it would be nice if we had a Moto-type restaurant here in Georgia!!!
PS: I did not get the chance to try Element while it was open during its brief run…but would like to see maybe a shopping mall restaurant version of it…

How do you make bacon jam exactly? Sounds very good on ice cream or cakes as topping.

Does it really matters if he wins or not? It’s not like he cooks for the general public anymore. He’ll be on next season and the season after that and the season after that. He is like furniture.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Richard. You deserve it and Mike is so smug. He needs to pack his knives and leave.

I love Richard Blais and hope he beats the cheater tonight. This really has nothing to do with the show tonight – but Richard, if for some reason you are so bored and you are reading this….please fire your staff at Flip. They are rude and obnoxious. The food is wonderful (as expected) but the staff sucks the life out of this place. Every time we go it is a bad experience.

RICHARD WINS!!! Good Googly Mooglie!

Grats to both of the chefs – and I hope Mike gets the $$$ from Richard, ’cause I think it’d be a good investment.

As for Blais:

1) God bless man. You are THE MAN.
2) PLEASE don’t leave Atlanta! You’re one of us. You are officially Southern.

You did us proud. Now go open that restaurant!!!

Congrats to Richard, but did he really deserve to win? Mike didn’t just deserve to be there, he killed it.
Don’t know why everyone is hating on him.
