NeNe Leakes: Star Jones “is a disaster”

NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” and more recently, “Celebrity Apprentice,” will appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. The show airs weekdays at 4 p.m. on WXIA.
According to a transcript the show sent us, they’ll be discussing Leakes’ fellow “Apprentice” cast member Star Jones.
They’re not exactly best buddies.
“She is bossy, she is manipulative, conniving,” Leakes said of Jones. “She is controlling. I think that she knows. Yeah. She looks in the mirror, she better know.”

Jones has been vocal about Leakes as well, telling Daytime Confidential, “We’re not on the same level. Let’s make that clear. We’re on the same show.”
In case that was unclear she added, ”Cream rises to the top and water seeks its own level.”
Jones also noted, “They cast the show based on what they thought would generate good ratings. This was not a show about friendship.”
(And if everyone got along, who would watch, right?)
Apparently their relationship was strained from the beginning.
“When I walked into the situation, I tried to walk in with no preconceived notions,” Leakes told DeGeneres. “I was just thinking, ‘Okay, I’m going to do the show. I’m going to get to know who Star is.’ I think she had preconceived notions of who she thought I was just from watching me on the ‘Housewives.’ I think she thought I was going to come in and take over. I tried to get to know her. Some people are difficult to get to know. She’s not easiest person to get to know. She is a disaster.”
Could they work things out?
Uh, maybe.
“I don’t think she’s easy to get along with,” Leakes said. “She’s a tough girl. We’re kind of okay. I’m trying to feel her out right now.”

It amazes me how this blog always turn to race. Eric – scott&liz (possibly one in the same) who knows – at the end of the day. Yes Blacks rob, murder, steal, etc. BUT UNTIL, any race can say they are void of these crimes. NO race can point a finger at another.
scott&liz – although I agree what kind of name is nene – please don’t go there about names – Bristol, trig, apple. Their are crazy, unusual names in every race….

Nene Leakes is as stupid as in human being I have ever seen. This clown was on a talk show saying she has only 2 years of college verses Star Jones 100 years of college and she gets paid as much as Star Jones. You would think this dumb woman would not make comments like that since she and her son both was college drop-outs. She has to use her name to influence people to hire her son. Now when you are older and people don’t find it entertaining for you to jump in other people’s private space with that moose face; what will you do then? I would not sell my soul to the devil for fame.

NeNe is dumb, loud and ugly. Star is smart, arrogant and ugly. Nene is who she is because people watch her shows which in turn, increases her rating. STOP watching her shows and maybe her 15mins of fame will disappear.

@the race baiters on the AJC blog (I’m with the other posters who can’t quite understand why the staff allows this nearly everyday??)…anyway, as an educated accountant myself who has actually written a term paper on the disparity of African Americans serving mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent felony drug convictions, I am aware that the African American population in the U.S. is rounded to about 15% while from 1985 to 1995 the prison population saw an increase of minority prisoners (Blacks and Latinos) due to DRUG CONVICTIONS, receiving harsh sentences without acquiring or having the luxury of affording a proper DEFENSE! Not robbery, murder, etc. In all actuality, we leave the robbery, serial murders, rapes, and incest for our white counterparts to partake in. Check the FACTS on the percentage of black SERIAL KILLERS in America, let me know what u come up with, haha! Those are some FACTS for you and please do tell what reason White perpetrators have for going around raping and murdering innocent people?

I meant to type the prison population saw an 80% increase of minority prisoners during that ten year period (85-95) due to felony drug convictions, not murder or robbery as several race-baiting bloggers have implied.

atl bound must be a racist or just plain ignorant. if you are atlanta bound perhaps your eyes open to what the Atlanta area is. People moving to the suburbs from the city due to the crime(home invasions, robberies, car jacking etc) because of the gangs (mostly afro american). Then there is the Atl public school system (nearly all black) that has embarrased the city/state.

I personally believe “Scott & Liz” is actually a black person posting comments disguised as a white couple. I simply have too many friends of other races (and I mean FRIENDS as in I don’t work with them, I actually socialize with them) to know that for the most part, white folks, even dumb, un or low-educated ones, just don’t talk like that.

As a man who happens to be black, I agree the black crime rate is way too high. We need to be cognizant of the image this fosters from a racial standpoint. And yes, unfortunately RACE is ever present. However, intelligent people realize that every person is an individual and should not be sterotyped regardless of crime stats. With 80% of TV programs catering to dumbing, NENE is perfect.

Let the truth be known, that yes there are alot of more black people than white people in jail. It’s because alot of white people get away with their crime. Look a Charlie Sheen and Mel Gibson, both beat the crap out of women but everyone loves them. Then you have Chris Brown who beat the crap out of Rihanna and he served jail time. The justice system is not fair or there would be more white people in jail.

@Val, lets not forget if your black and you fight dogs you spend 2 years of your life in jail, lose all your worldly possessions and must fight to have even half of a life, yet if you rape kids as your hobby and you happen to be white, you can get a smack on the wrist (especially if your a little league coach or Catholic priest). Double standard to say the least, but more than 70% of blacks and latinos in prison are serving mandatory minimum sentences for NON-VIOLENT felony drug convictions, that’s it!

Often times I ignore the race-baiters, I laugh being as though they troll the stories covering famous African Americans then ask over and over “who is so & so”… I sometimes wonder where or if they got an education at all, I mean why would one spend so much time in a realm/blog/site that disguisted them so?? Really, is everybody goin “Charlie Sheen Crazy” these days? LOL!! Anyway, there are other times (few & far between) where I can’t help it, especially the ones who claim to state FACTS about my people without substantiating it. I love to educate!

I think all of this is about one thing: attention. And on some level isn’t that what so called entertainment is supposed to do, get our attention? We live in such a chaotic crazy world and women are a strong force but what has happened to being a lady who is powerful, and with grace and ease she can move mountains? Have all women become bulldozers just to get attention? And then wonder why their relationships fail when the 15 minutes of attention i.e, fame fades? Being a woman is the one the most glorious sisterhoods there is and I don’t care if you are black, white, pink or purple. This is not about Barbie Doll girls this is about FEMININE WOMEN. Isn’t it time we returned to being women who are powerful and loved and respected? Speaking your truth is one thing, slitting someone else’s throat while getting your ‘attention fix’ is another.
